kezra v4 is a good choice! but, step by step, root first... get ClockWorkMod first...

KezraPlane is the first person to create a custom ROM for SGW (as far as I know). his ROM is already version 4, many claim it is very stable. worth a try.

My ROM? some got it working, some has problems. if not working for you, move on! there are other quality ROM. but what my ROM offer that no other ROM can offer (at the moment):

1. fastest - 1.8ghz
2. most memory - 353mb
3. lowest memory usage - 103mb (this is vary depending on usage)
4. Undervolting - save more battery
5. CPU governors - OnDemandX and SmartAssV2 - more responsive and save more battery.

i am adding zram option soon too. will allow you to use compressed ramdrive, in short:

more memory in expense of CPU cycles

there are many drastic changes in my ROM and kernel, but i only has 1 phone and use free time to do this. so, dont expect it to be more stable than stock ROM.

anyway, for u, u root first lar...

can removed, save a lot of RAM... but lost ability to check pop3 and exchange mail.

I tested a few of them. My ROM uses option 5, seem best for me. But you can test them out.

after installing the script you have to set the /data/99SuperCharger.sh to run at boot.
open script manager, go to /data/ and select 99SuperCharger.sh set run as root and run at boot.
reboot and all should work.

- Stock ROMs - If you have neither, it creates /data/99SuperCharger.sh which you can load up on boot (run as root) with Script Manager. The OOM groupings work as well since it happens on boot in local.prop (20 entries added)

the script will autorun. if you want to check whether the script is running, reboot and re-run the script and check for the current minfrees value. it should the same with prior v6 minfrees

mali 400 is better but it depends on drivers

nothing wrong, it's for old version. yes, you just need to run the script again

to get your homescreen lock, basically just add this into your "/system/build.prop"

ro.HOME_APP_ADJ=0

0 = same group with foreground app, so, it will be the last to get killed.

if u use the script, it will do everything for you. 

but if u know about low memory killer, u can basically apply whatever u see fit to your phone.

Let say u chose:

6,12,75,90,95,125 MB

That mean, if less than 125mb free, u kill empty_app group.
If less than 95 free, u start killing content provider group.
...
if less than 6mb free, u kill front app group too!

As you can see, if too aggressive, most app end up got killed, and got reloaded (some app will simply reload) and thus should drain more battery too... there is give and take. 

by default, launcher is no group 0, it will only become 0 when u select say, "Bulletproof launcher". delete "ro.HOME_APP_ADJ=0" in /system/build.prop will set it back to normal, thus, killable. for that matter, if u want it to get killed easiest, just increase the adj value.

ps: if you have twlauncher (which eat RAM!) selecting bulletproof is not a good choice LOL

Yup.... i'm using cow OC rom but run at 1.4Ghz.
Only will OC it if required. my hardware cannot support 1.8Ghz as it will lag then hang then reboot then FC. Tried 3 times already and result is still the same. Also tried 1.7Ghz once so far no problem yet. due to working so i set it back to 1.4Ghz as can't afford to have problem while working.

no need to backup. if you want to unroot it, use the unroot via recovery

How to know whether the phone have been rooted.
I runned the zergrush and it said all done and i also downloaded cwm recovery but when i tried to install busybox it said that the phone not yet rooted.
Is there a way to know whether the phone is rooted.

Got my phone to run the cow's rom ! Now how do i transfer all my stuff using samsung's programs? Can't even transfer songs or connect to it in the first place.

as my earlier posted..i failed to get KIES working in both NON OC n Slim rom from cow..

the only solutions for me was restore back stock rom...
