Best you call him and make appointment.. he only got 1 staff working with him.. so you might need to wait if too many cars.

Insight ice mod is the same as any other car la.... So just take to any reputable ice shop and they can do for you. As long as u don't connect anything or even touch the hybrid battery ur fine. Xenon amps are huge, won't be able to fit under the car seat. With our limited boot space u might wanna rethink especially when the hybrid battery is just below the boot space. For me I don't even wanna take any slight risk. For ice od here is my suggestion: depending on ur budget, if high, get the audison bit one as it comes with speaker level input, or audio control eq, they offer far better than those cikai brand hi lo. Get an efficient amp which is usually small, and ur ready to go. Got chance I post my setup for reference. Happy icing!!!

Oh yaaaa u reminded me of the size issue..My budget is under 2k for amp + speakers, someone suggested me to take Soundmargus amp, its built-in processor will improve the sound of stock HU. Think I gonna go for testing one day, there are too many choices in the market, kinda confusing... |

QUOTE(demonxyz @ Feb 8 2012, 06:12 PM) thanks, please PM me the contact Hi Bro, I would not use a too old amp (in this case 3 years) as it might started to fail in 1-2 years time... If budget allows, buying a brand new is best but if you short in cash then getting a 1-2 years branded amp will be alright. I am using Helix Dark Blue (2 years amp) from a good friend so far no problem with stock HU. However, you do need to change the front 2 chap-a-lang stock speakers (u will know what i mean after u see the material built for stock speaker) to 6.5" component which my friend offering a good set of DLS component at around RM500~600.BTW a forumer quoted me rm900 for his secondhand 3 years old Phoenix Gold Xenon 100.4. Since i am not gonna change my HU, is this amp too high end for the stock HU? |

QUOTE(n00b123 @ Feb 8 2012, 01:03 PM) hmnn...I remembered my sales agent told me the same thing too about revising the maintenance cost...probably its a scam Poor SA .. Is ok to pay a bit higher for maintainence .. for sure the saving on fuel will be much more. I calculated that you could save about RM400 for 5.8L/100km (my Insight) vs 8L/100km (normal car) per 10000km on current fuel price of RM 1.90/L. |

QUOTE(calvin_ng @ Feb 9 2012, 12:12 PM) http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=endsc...1&v=gQghB4asSnI yeah...totally agree. since our car is not high compression engine, there is totally waste on higher octance fuel.for those who worship RON97!!! hahaha unless you driving a Sports car else RON97 is waste of money!!! Even for high performance car like civic type R, with modern engine the ECU will auto adjust the timing and cope with the lower octance fuel. what u lose just few horse power. |

I am using back the original head unit, connecting 1) McIntosh Component speakers 2) 8 inch 250 watt Bazooka Amplified Bass Tube Subwoofer 3) Phoenix Gold 4 channel Amplifier (More than 10 years!) All speaker wire re-route instead of using original. Any reputable shop shall do a good job. There is no issue encountered during installation but it took pretty long hours as it involve taking out the headunit, 4x door panels, back seat. The Amplifier and bass tube sit in the boot side by side.. just nice. |
