You need a custom Kernel for this and then use SetCPU. Stock settings are 1200mhz/750mhz (max / min).

Added on January 29, 2012, 3:10 am
How did you achieve that score? Mind sharing your settings? Im only able to pull until 6.5k with apex 1.0.0 and apex kernal v5.

This was what I did.
Min/Max set to 1350mhz. Governor on performance. Voltage at default kernel settings.
*
Governor on demand
All undervolt till 1350mhz
Never change any stuff as all default from apex kernel
I just test only. Nothing special added
So no idea how this score achieved

Download stock rom from google website here
Make sure you download 4.0.2 (ICL53F).
Put the .tgz file in this folder (put_google_factory_image_here) inside the gnex toolkit folder.
Run toolkit and follow option no 8.
Make sure you backup everything as it will wipe out all data.

1. First unlock bootloader, root it and installed CWM recovery : installed GNEX toolkit
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1392310
2. Download stock rom 4.0.2 from this link
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1398800
3. Boot into recovery mode and backup your current rom
4. Copy the extracted folder 2011-12-18.16.07.08 into clockworkmod/backup in phone
5. Switch off phone, boot into recovery select restore this folder

You will now have stock 4.0.2 and all your phone data will be wipe clean completely
So before you do that , use Titanium Backup to backup your apps/data and restore back it from the backup. Any important stuffs you see inside the internal SDcard - copy it to your PC. You can copy these back to the internal SDcard after flash

use the GNex toolkit to root back and have CWM installed

I assume you understand those tech terms mentioned

You also can download the stock 4.0.2 image (4.0.2 (ICL53F)) from Google servers at
http://code.google.com/android/nexus/images.html

and flash the zip file by using the GNex toolkit

It's not that expensive to buy a screen protector to prevent that from happening in the first place. Until a screen is made from diamond, I'd slap an SP on every phone I buy. Heck, I'd not gamble on it even if the screen is made from diamond.

this is why you should put screen protector on. Dont take other ppl suggestion seriously of not needing SP at all. Their ways of using could be different to yours. For example, i put my keys together with my phone, but some put it with their wallet.

Wait, why are people paying so much for screen protectors? Normal ones sell for RM10 in garage sales.

Some cheap 1 not so clear.

The free SP bundle with INCIPIO case (i think that's branded already) got rainbow effect when screen off. It's make you see rainbow even when screen is on.

BUT.. I got RM12 SP for my Tab 10.1 and really satisfy with it. So clear but feel so thin.. But still use till today.

Some SP also got sticking feeling when you touch.. Some people want smooth 1.

Some also turn to yellow after long usage..

Got many factor.

^I'm sure the sticky feeling is after repeated usage without giving it a wipe. That happens with all surfaces that experience repeated contact with human skin. Also sometimes when your friends operate your device with a dirty hand without your knowledge. My screen always feels like it has a layer of gunk after yumcha sessions. Nothing a good wipe can't remove.

Your computer mouse probably has that layer of gunk too. I know mine has (yuck!).

Been using RM10 SPs since a long time. No yellowing so far. Yellowing occurs on wet-application SPs? Never used one before.
