QUOTE(djlah @ Jan 28 2012, 11:00 PM) i believe soft speaker volume might be caused by hardware/chipset. BTW, I still encounter intermittent clock freeze on top notification bar. when it happen, widget and lockscreen clock are working as normal. anyone facing this before? I had try ARHD, AOKP & bigxie, all these rom still having this intermittent issue. So I guess is not ROM issue. all of you use automatic time & time zone? or turn off? any other root cause? May I know did you use any task killer? I remember I faced this issue before when I used task manager to kill the program. Now I stop using task manager and the clock issue did not happen anymore.

QUOTE(benny888 @ Jan 28 2012, 10:41 PM) In my few years flashing rom , practically every week I NEVER bother to check. If you are "kiasi n kiasu" go ahead and do it I will strongly recommend you include checking MD5sum into your flashing routine. Sometimes these servers hosting these files terminate the download prematurely, leaving the file incomplete, but remain named as the actual file. I kena before (no thanks to Streamyx's Always-DC policy) where the MD5sum do not add up. I was fortunate to catch it before flashing.

Finally flash to ARHD 2.1.4. Once you get the hang of it, flashing is quite easy actually. The hard parts are to unlock, rooting and flash CWM, which in my opinion has been made super easy by gnex toolkit. Thanks to mr benny for all the supports.

QUOTE(munak991 @ Jan 29 2012, 02:33 AM) how to improve kernel? like playing game using little processor speed or power, even browsing will toast the phone. just dont know what to do You need a custom Kernel for this and then use SetCPU. Stock settings are 1200mhz/750mhz (max / min). Added on January 29, 2012, 3:10 amQUOTE(benny888 @ Jan 29 2012, 12:06 AM) 6938 at 1350mhz. I posted this at my blog post comparison w galaxy note. On bigxie apex v1.0 rom How did you achieve that score? Mind sharing your settings? Im only able to pull until 6.5k with apex 1.0.0 and apex kernal v5. This was what I did. Min/Max set to 1350mhz. Governor on performance. Voltage at default kernel settings. This post has been edited by AlphaBeta: Jan 29 2012, 03:10 AM

Getting Started

Fun and yet tiring .... just rooted my GNex and try-and-error installing roms. Ended up crashing me Gnex. Useful lesson i learned today, read instruction first. Managed to return to factory setting. Thanks to uncle benny. Hehe. Now using ics 4.02. By the way, anyone knows how i can increase my wifi signal? Coz i have full bar on my fruit and only one bar on my GNex.

You have to keep in mind that gnexus is using a 1.2ghz DUAL core processor, its definitely gonna produce some heat.
