Why still wanna use KIES? U can just upgrade using ODIN..
btw, depend on the kies if it can detect your firmware correctly and suggest an upgrade, correct if I'm wrong.

Nope..

You have to unroot and flash stock firmware in order to use Kies

Wow ur litening version so old anyways, suggest u flash checkrom instead, litening development seems to be dead already. Checkrom's a really good custom rom, one of my favourites. B4 i flashed ICS, i was using checkrom

erm if dun wan flashing etc , use battery indicator from market... the notification bar thr will show % of ur battery..
