To those who are using JKay, do you guys have the GPS in use symbol on the notification bar when the GPS is on?
Mine doesn't seem to show up when I turn the GPS on. Check the JKay setting but can't find any option to turn it on

Since there's only one file in DXKL3 package, I choose this file as PDA in Odin to flash:
GT-I9100_THL_I9100DXKL3_I9100OLCKL2_I9100DXKL1.tar.md5

However, after that it got stuck at splash screen.... any idea? I'm coming from CM9 ROM

That's the only file in the MultiCSC Package (GT-I9100_THL_I9100DXKL3_I9100OLCKL2_I9100DXKL1)

Tq..yes i do search but too many CM9 and CM7 some with stable and some not,some experimental and some with bug..btw tq

Jus like when u buy a new car. Some may want to mod the car & some like stock standard to maintain warranty. Some like to root their devices & some prefer stock reason being only 'for day to day use". Custom roms
are usually not stable, buggy & laggy. Official versions are always stable and that why worth the wait.Jus my 2 sen..

My G version freezes about once a day on average    Sometimes a few times a day

Other issues are like app crashes and the occasional camera failures

Because:
- Some people are lazy
- Some people are not tech savvy
- There are also a lot of fakap developers in XDA

It's not that non-tech-savvy people are stupid, it's that they don't care about having to manually update to newer version / or don't care about newer version at all. Don't be surprised this makes up 90% of the SGS2 users

About those XDA developers... I'm not saying that they are cocky, but there are really few "real" SGS2 developers whom I respect. Most of them just change the look and feel, change the build.prop and call it their own ROM. So for now I'm either waiting for CM9 or official ICS (just my personal view - of course they are still some good developers in the forum, not denying!)

Hi guys, just share with you on my earlier sudden shut off case.

The fine line gap there was the period of phone off, totally can't power on. That period was about 60 minutes. Then I charge it while phone off (using PC USB) until I power it on and it showed 40% on the status.

Meaning that my phone was forced off at around 40% of juice. 


Will revert back to GB to see if it's in fact ICS problem or battery (AP set) problem.

finally the correct phone picture is shown.

All packages below this point have the old bootloader so you can safely reset the binary counter with a Jig.

If you've already flashed a full package from elsewhere or updated using KIES and cannot reset your binary counter using the Jig just flash this package in the PDA or Bootloader section of Odin to replace the bootloaders and then you can reset the counter: http://www.multiupload.com/LQQBRQVJUD

@ Thelaptopdudeguy and all the other people using Bezke's ICS and also any other ICS and also whoever is tempted to try out ICS

I am running the Bezke's ICS and I am loving how stable it is. Never hanged at all, not a single FC, battery life is very decent (1hour 32 mins of screen on auto on 50% battery), Youtube and all hardware video acceleration working perfectly, Flash in the browser working perfect, no reboots at all, standby current consumption is 19mA, Face Unlock working perfectly.

I am not going back to my Gingerbread until I see a real reason to do so. Currently, Bezke's ICS runs 100% perfect for me and all my apps work without issue. The only niggle I have is I can't find a battery% mod because this is a Samsung ROM and not AOSP.

So to those non-g versions, I higly recommend you check the ROM out!!

how about those flashing custom rom are they affected?
i think the last time i updated firmware from kies was at KI2

been flashing on so many different rom hope they don change the bootloader
checkrom, criskelo, westcr ICS, CM, turkbey, cognition and etc

The battery mod sounds good but I don't think Bezke made his ROM deodexed. Will it work if I try anyway?
