Want to flash original firmware back to my phone (hence unroot)
Tried the thread here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1075278 Since there's only one file in DXKL3 package, I choose this file as PDA in Odin to flash: GT-I9100_THL_I9100DXKL3_I9100OLCKL2_I9100DXKL1.tar.md5 However, after that it got stuck at splash screen.... any idea? I'm coming from CM9 ROM This post has been edited by samurai1337: Jan 17 2012, 11:05 AM |

QUOTE(antt00 @ Jan 17 2012, 11:11 AM) GPS symbol only show if some app is using it. Even if on but no app using the symbol will not show. That's the only file in the MultiCSC Package (GT-I9100_THL_I9100DXKL3_I9100OLCKL2_I9100DXKL1)Jkay as far as i know do not have any options on gps. Added on January 17, 2012, 11:12 am Try reflashing again. That file come with kernel also? If not flash also the kernel separately. From the website it's like this QUOTE DXKL3 Firmware info PDA:DXKL3 PHONE: DXKL1 Date: 15/12/2011 Android 2.3.6 MultiCSC Package (GLB, MM1, SIN, SMA, STH, THL, XEV, XME, XSE, XSP, XTC, XTE, XXV): http://www.multiupload.com/AK0TGH6WXX DXKL3 Stock Kernel: http://www.multiupload.com/PY2EJTIQ2E Password: intratech@XDA So I guess I have to download the kernel separately and flash twice (tick phone?)?? Added on January 17, 2012, 11:15 am QUOTE(Harddisk @ Jan 17 2012, 11:13 AM) Factory reset already? Clear all cache and Dalvik? Now that I'm back to stock, I'm looking forward for official ICS
Hopefully it's a worldwide update, rather than Europe getting it in day 1 and Malaysia getting it 3 months later |

They promised ICS in Q1 2012. But I think as soon as there's a stable CM9 I'll root and flash it again

QUOTE(antt00 @ Jan 17 2012, 03:22 PM) Eh i thought u solve it already by removing sd card. It's not that non-tech-savvy people are stupid, it's that they don't care about having to manually update to newer version / or don't care about newer version at all. Don't be surprised this makes up 90% of the SGS2 usersAdded on January 17, 2012, 3:24 pm Its mostly the first one. You dun have to be tech savvy to flash custom rom, just need to know how to read and follow instructions. If users of XDA can read and follow insruction, the developers will not be so fakap. About those XDA developers... I'm not saying that they are cocky, but there are really few "real" SGS2 developers whom I respect. Most of them just change the look and feel, change the build.prop and call it their own ROM. So for now I'm either waiting for CM9 or official ICS This post has been edited by samurai1337: Jan 17 2012, 03:34 PM |

No idea man... I think there's only fine line between adapting other people's work and copying.
I mainly refer to those who cheat (saying that they've done a lot of development although they didn't) and ask for donation / sponsor |

QUOTE(yehlai @ Jan 18 2012, 08:49 PM) Just went to test out the GalNex, screen is significantly better and color more vibrant. But don't feel good about the ICS, i looks not so useful, and pointless for me QUOTE(yehlai @ Jan 18 2012, 08:55 PM) Build quality is not as good as SGSII, feel even more plasticky, paint color loks dull, the back cover keep loosen out, both test unit also hv same problem. So i don't think it's isolate issue. Strange, I had totally different opinion on Galaxy Nexus (my wife has one)1. GalNex colour is more washed out compare to SGS II (which is more saturated) 2. To me GalNex build quality is definitely better than SGS II, more solid on hand and the grip and curve make it so ergonomic. No issue on back cover And I love its ICS UI compare to SGS2 stock!
