Hi all,
Currently facing a connection issue with our Time broadband service in the office.
We are experiencing very very slow connectivity to the Internet, so I had performed the following tests:
Test 1:
- Opened a command prompt and ran a continuous ping test to 8.8.8.8, with no browser open. With no browser open, ping response is fast, averaging around 5ms to 8.8.8.8.
- With the ping test still running, I opened a browser and went to www.google.com. That is when the ping response went up (up to 3000+ms) and eventually timed out. The page still manages to very slowly load, and once the page is fully loaded, the ping results go back to normal (~5ms response)
Test 2:
- Browsed to
http://www.time.com.my/help/testyourspeed.asp and started the speed test. Results were: 14ms ping response | 0.07Mbps down | 0.10Mbps up (we are subscribed to 12Mbps package)
Would just like to know if there is any service interruption in our office area, which is in Mont Kiara.
P.S. normal troubleshooting process was performed, i.e. powered off router/ONU for a few minutes, and turned back on again.
Thanks.
Added on 12:25PMUPDATE: As of 12:25PM today the line seems to be stable again, so they probably fixed the issue already
