When can reduce VIP price by half while maintain the 5Mbps. Main reason I got fiber is to avoid my crappy copper line prob.

I personally dont mind having RM75 for 2.5mbps only. I got a AMD E-350 rig, use 20-30w only. If wanna full DL 24/7 HDD size will be the prob not the line speed lol.

Telnet in and type "uptime".
CODE
BusyBox v1.00 (2010.11.09-01:14+0000) Built-in shell (msh)
Enter 'help' for a list of built-in commands.

# uptime
03:35:22 up 3 days,  1:04, load average: 1.00, 1.00, 0.99

There's one more way from the web browser. Let me check.

Here it is:
Change some settings in the DIR-615, then when you click Save Settings. Keep an eye on the URL. You should see something like this.
CODE
http://192.168.0.1/tools_admin.php?uptime=263223&random_num=2012.2.21.3.37.29

263223 is in seconds. Convert to days is 3.0465625 days

Using the following method, will it reset the up-time values ?

CODE

Good question, I don't think so. Just change something that doesn't require a reboot. Like toggle telnet on/off.

Btw, did anyone notice my IPV6 tag.

No, lah, I use 6to4. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/6to4 which is:
CODE
6to4 is an Internet transition mechanism for migrating from IPv4 to IPv6, a system that allows IPv6 packets to be transmitted over an IPv4 network (generally the IPv4 Internet) without the need to configure explicit tunnels. Special relay servers are also in place that allow 6to4 networks to communicate with native IPv6 networks.

More info here: http://www.kfu.com/~nsayer/6to4/

There's also Hurricane Electric as an alternative.

Of course, router must support ipv6.

Quite interesting, after I setup ipv6 on my router, automagically all my PCs on the LAN got their own v6 IP. No need separate DHCP server as ipv6 has auto configuration!

I also set my PPPOE to ask for IPV6 from UniFi but "IPV6 request rejected". C'mon TM.

Hardest part was how to get the browser to use IPv6 to connect to LYN. Safari seems to prefer IPv4 over IPv6. In the end, I just block LYN IPv4 address in my router. I know, stupid solution.

I did it just to see the swimming turtle. http://kame.net
Another site for more info and to test your setup. http://test-ipv6.com

Also notice quite a lot of torrenters using IPv6 already.

http://ipv6.forum.lowyat.net no more already. Now forum.lowyat.net supports both IPv6 and IPv4.

I only know how to do for my router, RB750GL. What's yours? Anyway this thread probably off topic for IPv6. Suggest we move to one of the other IPv6 threads.

yes can disconnect all the cables but just don bend it sharp...bcoz fiber is using light... so inside cable is very small mirror... if u bend then u break the mirror  ohmy.gif
