Orlandoo Jeep vs F150
Some fun rock crawling convoy activity with Orlandoo Jeep and F150 truck on my indoor 'rubble wasteland' track. F150 a bit struggle with this track due to longer wheelbase but we'd take it slowly and more time over the obstacles.

My order from banggood arrived today. Took 2 weeks, not bad IMO. Installed tonight. Everything went well & I loved the speed. The main gear stripped little bit when I repeatedly testing braking (on tarmac if thats make any difference). Lol. I think you can take a peek in the pic below. The car still can move though but it is time to get metal main gear. Either waiting stock at baggood or find it somewhere else.

For the love of me, I can not remove the allen screw that hold the pinion gear on the stock motor. So I use pinion from my buggy instead. Bigger in diameter than stock pinion.

I'm going to swap stock 540 motor in my buggy to 550 motor.

Btw, servo is twitching a little. Most likely because the transmitter battery is low, blinking already.

Good to hear your stuff arrived well in 2 week, is it on EMS? Btw about the pinion gear you can use soldering equipment to heat the screw at high density with repeated effect and you can easily remove it while its hot. That's how i remove stucked pinion allen screw.

I clicked express checkout too quickly. I saw the other shipping options after I clicked the button.

Update on my monster truck brushless upgrade: the slightly stripped main/spur gear still running ok. It stripped probably my fault because I didn't make sure both pinion & main/spur gear mesh properly. Corrected that. Tested last night on tarmac, it even can brake from top speed without having issue. The only issue I need to solve is the bottom screw on the right steering hub no longer want to stay in place due to the thread already stripped from previous crash. Definitely need to change that hub but before I do that, I have fatter screw that I can try. We'll see.

The JX PDI-6221MG 20KG servo so far running great. It does have some little issue with it if you watch a couple of youtube videos talking about this servo but so far for normal/bashing, I have not experience any issue at all. My buggy also use this servo. The stock ESC in my buggy somehow can not handle this servo even though BEC is rated at 5V/2A. After a couple of turn, it brownout, the servo stalled. Fortunately, the brushed ESC from my truck can handle the servo well.

Right now I'm using the 23T pinion with the brushless motor in my truck. I'm not sure whether I should install the stock pinion which is 17T.

Check if your ESC is using linear BEC or SBEC (Switch BEC). Usually SBEC are more reliable and stay true to its value and hardly drop current if servo demands high amp without brownout. I have huge success using SBEC then linear BEC in ESC.

It doesn't say whether it is linear or switch. The ESC is BDESC-S10E-RTR. There is WP-S10E-RTR but this is totally different ESC.

HSP Brontosaurus 3100kv brushless upgrade test run. Shot at 1080p60 but the quality doesn't look like shot at 60 framerate. When slowed down, there seems lost of details. I did turned on distortion correction. That maybe the reason.

Woah! thats fast acceleration, no wonder your pinion gear worn out. Who's that person standing on last clip?

Pinion is fine since it is metal. The spur gear worn out a little. I don't usually drive like that but I just want to test the motor power when punch out. Actually if I make sure the gears are meshed properly from the beginning, the plastic spur gear would still in good condition. Even when they are not meshed properly, it only worn out when I brake. Now after I corrected my mistake, I have no problem with that plastic spur gear either during fast acceleration or braking.

I'll need to put fan to the motor since it feels hot. I already have heatsink attached to it though. I don't have spare 5V fan. The only one I have left is 12V fan.

That guy live there. He is checking something inside that fence that already taken over by nature.

How hot is your motor?, if its warm then ok. If its really hot where you're unable to touch it for 3 seconds then you need to back off the gear ratio by installing smaller pinion gear because the heat will transfer to metal pinion gear causes spur gear to shave out/worn out by heat easily. I learned the hard way when i used to have CASTLE MAMBA brushless combo on my car.

Yeah, it is hot. Going to put the 17T pinion back. Trying to get a combo of spur & pinion but banggood sold out. Lazada have though, so probably get there. I didn't try phone my local store yet. He should be able to get it & much faster.

I'll check at both sites later. I have ordered from Lazada before but not RC related stuff.
