Yeah, I know. A couple of zip ties should do it. I didn't have time to test drive it yet. The gears, spur & pinion are now steel for my buggy & truck.

That is nice Tamiya rc. Wheelie all the way.

Is that 4WD or 2WD? I watched AMPRO youtube channel how he rebuild or fixed his classic Tamiya RC vehicle as well as buyers guide, like falcon, panda pandamonium & lunchbox.

Its 2WD, only 2WD can do some controller jump wheelies.

What brand are they? Doesn't look like tamiya. If that is toy, then that is pretty high end toy. Drive shaft for front & rear wheels. I always want to put proper esc & servo in toy rc car. The lamborghini toy rc car or even the 1/10 scale toy rally car that I always saw at supermarket seems like good candidate. If it only require simple mod, I can do it. I'm not good in crafting my own parts though.

Btw, I got smaller pinion for my truck but it's not 17t. It is 21t. I already doubt that is 17t pinion as the tokey at my LHS leads me to believe. I think he is ill informed too. Still, I believed motor run better now without getting hot, although I did try not to brake too much. I should've get the programming card too. The ezrun system in my buggy is so easy setting the brake force, reverse etc.

The brand are WPL, not actually a toy but the manufacturer cut cost by adding crappy electronics but they do sell kits. Its very popular among crawler community now. Vendor sell aluminum upgrades and stuff. You can get it here: https://www.banggood.com/WPL-C14-DIY-Car-Ki...6363706201312DW else also cheaper alternative is from https://www.gearbest.com/rc-cars/pp_1489187...l?lkid=13682796 , I just need to add some proper electronics and airbrushing to make it realistic Toyota Hilux.

Btw if your motor does get hot it should be ok for 21t. Should have some torque power.

Just picked this up today. biggrin.gif

I was going for summit vxl but it is 1/16 scale that only available. I already skeptical when I heard the price. Everything was done by phone, so I did not get the chance to see the actual car whether it is 1/10 or 1/16.

Nice! Stampede 4x4 rocks! Good choice. I bought and old version TRAXXAS Stampede XL-5 (2WD), tough and powerful. Those days run on AM radio unit. Below are my Stampede but i have custom top bodyshell.

FPV K949 super comp was born!
Btw yesterday 10428A's older brother was born, FPV cockpit driving beta testing in progress. Super stable, doesn't roll at high speed. Roll over everything. Powerfull V8 engine sound from ESS-ONE broke the silence in its surroundings.

That is nice stampede. I'll need to get one 2WD RC next time. Learn on how to handle them. I prefer 4WD because it is much easier to handle. After "the miscommunication" Summit VXL, my second choice was Rustler but changed my mind to Stampede purely because it is 4WD. Changed to dean plug. I already rollover my stampede twice the first time I drove it. Removing the preloaded shock spring spacers helps but still need to slow down before turning.

You will love 2WD some day because the feeling is very different from 4WD, its easy to wheelie from startup, you'll love some powerslide, wheelie while flying off the bumps plus low maintenance. wink.gif

Looking at getting hot glue gun. Do you think the supermarket brands (all from China) are good or should I get branded one?
