Since L900 using same camera hardware i dont believe it will be that bad

I'm sure you can make it as decent as what you have with the Lumia 800, with your skills. wink.gif

I'm not saying that 900's camera is weak, just saying that Galaxy Nexus's camera isn't as bad as xcen thought, based on his quote "famous for bad camera." smile.gif

btw, xcen if you read closely, Josh did not say that 900's camera is worse than Galaxy Nexus, he's just disappointed by it, considering Nokia's history of terrific phone camera performance.

Perhaps I used words that are too strong. I meant that Galaxy Nexus' camera can't match up with modern, top-of-the-line smartphones, even to its previous Samsung phone, the SII. Decent camera nonetheless, of course. But just not the one that you'll be looking in such a high-end phone.

"Now keep in mind, my daily driver is a Galaxy Nexus, which has a relatively poor camera — so this is significant. I went into the Lumia 900 expecting an excellent photo experience, but it's really simply mediocre."

By comparing L900 with the Nexus, and then saying it is 'significant', I have the impression that he's saying that the Galaxy Nexus is better. He didn't explicitly state it though, I could read it wrongly. No reason for him to say it is 'significant' otherwise IMO.

I don't think he tried to compare Lumia 900's camera to Galaxy Nexus, but he's saying that considering Galaxy Nexus's camera is a "relatively poor camera", hence the camera aspect of a phone (in this case the Lumia 900) is significant to him. So he's expecting something great from the Lumia 900's camera, especially since Nokia has a great history of phone camera, and that Lumia 900 is touting Carl Zeiss lens.

I don't interpret what he said that way because he's an experienced phone reviewer so he should be exposed to many other phones like the 4S with much better camera performance, so I don't think that he will find any phone camera difference significant, unless it is really significant.

But that's up to different interpretation anyway. smile.gif

if he is that experienced like u said u guys wont be debating over his review? How often do u see ppl debate over gsmarena reviews? So means he is just inexperienced.

rclxms.gif Hi aspire2oo6, all the photos are awesome. I wish I can take something like this in future. Do you mind on sharing how to take so sharp photo while the background surrounding is blur gradually? Is it in Macro mode?

lumia 800 and 900 comparison

Seems like Lumia 900 doesn't have the Nokia Maps and 3D accelerometer. Doesn't have FM rasio also.

Kinda letdown. sad.gif

Not surprised that there's mistake. Many times Nokia made mistakes ady. They stated Lumia 710 as having 16GB storage on their website when it just launched. doh.gif

I really really hope its a mistake. The Nokia Maps is a good selling point for the phone. I'd rather buy this phone than a phone and a GPS seperately.

Just hoping they can come up with worthwhile apps.

I personally think this phone will be a great change for ppl who are bored of iOS n Android.

Hi to all lumia 800 users!

Any recommendations for a good screen protector?

There's a scratch on my screen =( So I got myself a 5 bucks one, which is very non scratch resistant. Need something study!

(Oh and it'd be nice if it covers the entire screen and not just the active area)

Thankss!
