better use kies or wifi fo update?

rocket rom 18 is out. only difference i know of is jkay mod added and probably the newer abyssnote.

criskelo's rom is nothing fantastic, flashed earlier gonna move back to rocket 18

why when i want to connect to usb mass storage its appear "USB is connected. remove the cable" when i tap "connect storage to pc"? before this im not face this problem. somebody please help

don't worry about ics for g-note as samsung has announced that there will be ics for g-note in this year. g-s2 already got ics but only for some countries only. do search for other article regarding ics on g-note. I'm positive that ics will be available for g-note officially.

I got some question for the g-note owner, i read about a review stating there's some problem when having a video call? and what about other problems?

I'm thinking of getting g-note although it's still a doubt whether if i should get this due to its 5.3" form factor, but what i like about this phone is its unique feature especially s-pen and wide range of sensors that may be useful for me in the future...

any opinions?

for kies so far i see...always fail when my phone on charge status while update. if my phone already 100% it sucess. it happen twice including updated today

my Note is 2.3.5.. use kies cant find update.. wanna upgrade to 2.3.6 how?
is 2.3.6 is better than 2.3.5 ?

Same, had to use KIES. People said remove the SD card but I don't even have one.

already update via OTA just waited for 15minutes, reboot and done! just only see keyboard different than 2.3.5. btw what else?

Managed to update using odin... Not much different

agree with Edoras, tried using KIES a lot of times to upgrade..always fail.
Only time success was KIES auto-downloaded SGS II firmware update prior to update.
The rest of the times, it was unsuccessful or timed out connection....
used ODIN twice now...100% success rate..;p

I just want help my friend. He want Arabic for his Samsung Galaxy Note. From my searching, what I need to do is:

1. Flash to deodex rom with root & cwm (deodex, root & cwm are required for Arabic Language Pack).

If I don't want flash new rom, just want install font shaping and arabic pack, what I need to do? Can I just deodex the existing firmware and then install root and cwm? Is it easy / straight forward steps?
