for those who update from 2.3.5 via ota/kies to LA1, all your phone data remain like normal or totally wiped?

Normal for me, not wipe

so far so good to me. Everything still in place.

everything remains for me too .. even the widgets loading normally as opposed to when i flashed my old rooted nexus one where i needed to reload the widgets ...

Sometimes it can get to my nerves when someone ask simple questions which can they can find with a simple Google search.

hehe..yeah..finding the pic of the case is easy..but the link to buy is confusing...u can get a lot of result from google. but they may not know which is reliable and which is cheaper.. .so if can help, why not? actually those info should be put in the front page as well.. so the first time users can just refer there..

Actually if the person follow the posts, he can find the answer to his question.
I don't mind answering new questions or more difficult ones but there are times a simple Google search and reading can do a lot more good.
Sometimes even putting them in the main FAQ at the 1st page, people still don't bother to read...

haha..agree with u..many did not really bother to read or 'dono' about the FAQ in the first page.. sometime i am one of them too

but i think he has just bought the note recently, thats why he din follow the post.. understanding after getting his new device, he is curious, excited or cant wait to get the ans to 'protect' his new toy.. same like me when i just bought..

actually i do read ppl keep asking the repeating q..or i 'feel' like the q has been asked before.. thats human, always finding short cut ..

Just update OTA...N7000DXKL2, N7000DXLA1...the phone as it was...no changes...all data still there...

yay..update to LA1 alredi thru OTA , try one time only straight dwnlad (65mb)> reboot > install, all within 15mins and all data still same

Not to discourage you ooolala... Its great to see you hear join the Forum. There's a lot too learn but ned patience reading the Forum posts. This Thread is already V6... And if you followed from V1, many questions are repeated. Your problem is our problem when we first own the Galaxy Note.
