Need Appletv 4 owners opinions.
Is it worth the money to upgrade my ATV3 to ATV4?
Main usage of my ATV3 is YouTube, Directv, occasional AirPlay from iPad.

I never use ATV3 before, first time user ATV4, main difference most likely speed and apps. Other than that, its the same.

Thank you for your feedback. About the App Store in AppleTV, I read some reviews that the apps are very limited. Popular apps are not avaialable, no internet browser, no google maps. Is that correct ?

apps are quite limited at the moment but you don't use your tv like you use your smartphone. for me, enough by having netflix/hulu/iplayer/hbo go and VLC. vlc can easily play movies stored in my NAS (without DLNA server). youtube is easy to use as well.

if you want to stream using Hulu, i think it's only available in ATV 4, not in ATV 3.

for the time being, i don't see any reason i would prefer to browse internet in using my tv compared to my ipad/iphone/laptop. so, not having internet browser is not really an issue. and i can always mirror my ipad/iphone/mac using airplay.

for games, it's quite limited. i'm bored with rayman, jetpack joyride and crossy road. songpop party is quite nice to play. i only play the bowling game a couple times. Beat sports is quite nice too. i haven't tried any RPG type game because i think i'll need a proper game controller. steelseries nimbus haven't entered our market officially (but can be bought from Lazada, no warranty). asphalt got good visual for a freemium game. there's one more game that i forgot the name, but the gameplay is similar to crash bandicoot / mario kart (i think it's call beach race or something).

Try to use the remote app on appstore, not sure if it works during initial setup though.

Not sure how much, maybe you should just bring it to any apple reseller and borrow their remote to finish the setup before deciding to buy one.

Guys, just a quick question.

Let say if i buy Apple TV in Japan, and later i want to bring back to Malaysia, can i still use it?

Or if i buy Apple TV in Malaysia, bring to Japan to watch there, possible?

Does Apple Tv has content region lock thingy?

can use anywhere, it all depends on which account is ur apple ID is signed up. Like mine, I signed up US account for my ATV3, so I can stream hulu, nbc, etc. So if I bring the ATV3 anywhere in the world, as long as sign up using my US account, I can stream US content, granted I have to use the VPN/DNS bypass.

How did you do that? Those hacked services?

I tried Apple TV4 in Machines and looks like Astro on the go not supported.

Hi, the best device for mirroring apple ipad/iphones is the apple tv.

So far from my experience, the rest either doesn't work well or does not work at all...
