Hi! I need help with my Apple TV!

I had just got my Apple TV and trying to use it, but I do not see Airplay icon on my iPad 2/iPhone 5S's control center (the one scroll up from ur middle bottom screen). I tried everything on apple forum like same wifi, on Airplay on Apple TV, nothing seems to work.

I am able to use Apple TV o watch youtube videos but the Airplay icon just dont come out. Last night, when my internet is down, strangely the Airplay icon appeared and I can mirror content to my Apple TV. But today the Airplay icon wouldn't come out again! Anyone know know to solve this problem?

never tried plex but XBMC with 1080p no problem streaming except 5.1 sound will be just 3.1

You dont mirror but use upstairs ATV3 as extended display. So your Macmini downstairs can be used for other things.

Control the macmini using Iphone or Ipad from upstairs via splashtop.

Like i said ATV3 can only play 5.1 channel sound in DD/TDS if you encoded the movie sound in AC3 5.1, if you straight away download from torrent and stream(extended display/mirror) to ATV3 it will play only 3.1.

Ok that probably complicated. If anyone has Iphone/ipad, he/she can just airplay xbmc installed in the the idevice and airplay directly to the appleTV

So I was thinking izzit possible to use ( QVOD ) player from Mac, or 多屏 player from iPad and AirPlay it to Apple TV?
If it do so, can it be full screen at the tv? Because iPad and MacBook Air also not 16:9 resolution...

Yes, you can the set the resolution with ATV3, airplay iphone ipad and mac or even itunes from window pc.

But someone in Entertainment Thread has confirmed that those Himedia player can airplay too. That's even better than jailbroken ATV3. You may want to check it out before you buy ATV3 especially if you want to watch chinese shows

I just bought the ATV3, gonna install PlexConnect on it and if that works, then all problems solved

no worries about 5.1 or 3.1 coz I'm just using the TV speakers.

i thought want to install plexconnect on my windows desktop that always on too then connect to the ATV3 but so many things to install and download.
Too many cumbersome steps.

I definitely dont want to do it on the macbook air coz im not going to on the mba 24/7.
