ATV2 JB is very difficult to find, even in ebay the price is so ridiculously high.

Can ATV2 stream 1080p movie?

So only Apple TV3 can output in full HD? 1080p

ATV3 drains my MBA and IP5 battery like nobody business even when TURN OFF AIR PLAY MIRRORING mode.

ATV3 only stop draining battery when these two devices in sleep mode.

Server (or shall i say another windows machine) can directly play to apple tv via itune

ATV2 on ebay is selling sky high which is not worth at all for a used product that doesnt even do full HD.

i would definitely have a nervous breakdown if after i won the bid paying a lump sum of money from my paypal account only to find out that ATV3 JB is available the next day.

But netflix doesnt seem to have many blockbuster movies included. Most of them looks like movies listed in Asiabox which are free. So far I watch Transformer : Dark Side of the moon but that was 2011 movie and it is not even in HD.

Lucky i dont have to subscribe to paid VPN service like unblockUS etc. There are free US DNS around the net you can use and free netflix accounts too.

Can you share how to enable SuperHD coz according to Netflix, you only need 5Mbps internet and Apple TV with 1080p so definitely for ATV3 and not ATV2 coz ATV2 only do 720p. (Read: http://support.netflix.com/en/node/8731)

Mine is ATV3 and unifi VIP5, but when i watch SuperHD movies they look like SD only. Yesterday i was bored and watched Charlize Theron in Aeon Flux but quality like old Astro HBO (not HBO-HD)

AppleTV is a streaming media player like asiabox or ps3. It streams media from internet and also from your devices. AppleTV in particular has AirPlay that can stream media from Itunes, be it Mac or PC and all iDevices (Ipod, Iphone, IpaD)

The newest AppleTV is AppleTV3 it stream media in full HD (1080p) and it cant be jailbroken yet.

The old Apple TV1 and ATV2 can be jailbroken but they dont support fullHD.


The reason why we need it to be jailbroken becoz the default internet streaming services in ATV are only few and most are not free. So they want to install other services like XMBC

But you can also install XMBC or all internet streaming services offered by AppleTV in your PC/MAc or or devices too. So no big deal.

So why still want to buy AppleTV?

1. becoz it's so cute
2. becoz we buy all things apple.
3. becoz we are isheeps
4. becoz we are mactards
5. becoz of airplay

My personal reason is no 5. Air play is the whole new level of wireless style in media playing and mirroring display.

2. open ATV change DNS to US (search for free one on net)

Done.

PPTV and PPS are streaming from your iphone and ipad to Apple TV.

You cannot install PPTV or PPS in ATV3

No i've been watching lesbian movies the whole weekends without a glitch.

U change your country in address in Itune to USA, then login with the same id in AppleTV. You can atleast enjoy netflix for a month or so.

Oh u also need to change the DNS too.

Good news been waiting like forever, hopefully Apple dont announce anything in regards of AppleTv this WWDC
