Hi guys trying to decide between Sony Xperia S ,samsung Galaxy Nexus or Samsung Galaxy note. which one do you guys recommend. I have been reading a whole of reviews still can't decide....help pls....
In term of processing power these 3 doesnt have big gap .
Note is nice for the S pen and bigger screen .
Galaxy nexus have vanila android 4.0 .
Xperia S have HDMI output with USB OTG for keyboard mouse and gamepad .
They have their own advantage but all of them is on top of android piramid for now and probably enough power for you to use for few year without outdated .
Choosing any of them is fine . You can looks at demo unit and decide yourself which one you like .

Hallo, I heard this thread got lots of phone sifus who baik2 can help recommend phone

Budget : ~RM1400
Specs : - Latest ICS phone
- good battery life
- use for medium gaming, apps, music(!), movies
- prefer any brands except htc and huawei.
theres lots of choices right? i pening to choose already.
but if possible, for me the weight goes on the battery life. I want a phone that I don't have to charge every single day just for minimal use. maybe ones that last 4-5 days of standby time.
As for 8mp camera, hd capabilities, 3d, etc, I don't really mind having those stuff. Its an added bonus if they're good, but as long as it is convenient to use it for music, videos and a bit of gaming, I'd be smiling from ear to ear.
too bad the requirement of "ICS update" doesnt leave you much of choice .
I can only think optimus 2x and Arc S in that price range that will get ICS update officialy .
HTC will update all their 2011 lineup but as you don wan HTC i wont recommend you one .

(I'm reposting this from the Android general questions thread, since it may e better suited for this thread)
Hi guys
I'm thinking of finally buying an Android phone but one of my biggest concern is that the phone that I chooes won't be updated to the latest Android version by the phone makers.
So I guess my question is, will I be able to buy a fairly decent Android phone (e.g. SGS 2, Xperia S, Galaxy Note or HTC One X) and install a plain version of the latest Android versions (i.e. the plain ICS on Galaxy Nexus)?
Then should the next version come (Jelly Bean?) will I still be able to install that version into the four phones I've stated?
I am not interested with the Galaxy Nexus purely because the camera does not meet my need of producing higher than average quality pictures, so if anybody would be able to give me their views I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

The one x and xperia s will have bigger chance to get more update as its 2012 lineup .
The sg2 will probably abbandon by samsung like sgs soon as it is 2011 lineup . Still its all depend on the manufacturer .
For plain android , its posible but again it depend on comunity need and developer .
From the pass experience on XDA , usually the comunity doesnt like vanila android that much and developer always giving MIUI and HTC sence UI .
