Use this thread and follow the format below and I guess most members can help up in answering it.

CODE

To request recommendation, what u need to post:

1. Brand. (HTC/Samsung/LG/Motorola/Others)
2. Budget. (1.5k-2k)
3. Specs. (Ram/Proc/Camera's MP/Screen size)
4. What you need in the phone (Good camera/good sound quality/durable)

I often stress this a lot and not many actually take note but PLEASE!

Include your requirements when you ask for a recommendation!

Refrain from asking 'Is xxx better than xxx' questions. State your usage and purposes.

Make sure your sentences are correctly typed and easily read. Keep it short and concise . If you ask in a very lazy way and indistinguishable sentences without requirements or any sort of specification I won't respond to your question.

Thanks and have a nice day. notworthy.gif

Personally I think it would depend on your usage and err....... 'upgrading' habits.

Both devices are pretty similar with its own pro's and con's.

Just my personal opinion. I would say the S2 was released towards the end of the 1st gen dual-core line-up but possible the best among the lot (this includes optimus 2x, HTC sensation family, Motorola Atrix etc....). The next generation would entail HD screen resolutions if you look around. Applies to the Galaxy Nexus and it will soon be the new benchmark for future devices in the next quarter (let's see what CES 2012 reveals this time around).

In a sense, it's a little more future proof to get the Galaxy Nexus but it wouldn't be a concern if you'd personally utilize the phone itself with no worries of upgrading to a new handset anytime soon. The S2 does have a higher contrast screen (sAMOLED Plus) compared to the sAmoled on the NExus though at a lower resolution. Also the S2 has an 8MP camera compared to a 5MP camera on the Nexus.

The S2 will be getting ICS treatment very soon so it would be approximately the same experience you would get on the Galaxy Nexus albeit the lower screen resolution. Oh and did I mention that the Nexus doesn't have memory expansion options? Not a big deal but Samsung could've put it in.

But putting aside the fact that it has a 5mp camera and no memory expansion, the Galaxy Nexus is definitely an upgrade over the S2.

The S2 is a pretty safe bet. Get the Nexus otherwise if you don't mind a lesser camera and memory is not an issue.

The Neo is better than the Neo V in terms of specs.

But honestly, all of us would recommend you go for the Nexus S. The Neo is a better shooter so if you use the camera a lot its recommended.

Otherwise, the nexus s triumphs.

I have used the SGS II for nearly 6 months and just got the Galaxy Nexus for a day
Overall in terms of performance , not much difference between the 2
HOwever the GNex is a more future proof phone and any latest Google OS updates it will be the first to have it
The GNex loses out to the SGS II in not having an external microSDcard
