"Sony Mobile Communications has identified that the display on a limited number of Xperia S smartphones may show a slight yellow tint if exposed to temperatures above 40 degrees Celsius. This is limited to a small number of units and the cause of this has been corrected. Any consumer observing this slight yellow tint on the display of their Xperia S is welcome to contact their local customer service centre and Sony Mobile Communications will resolve this at no cost to the consumer."

means new stock fixed ald?
*
Fixed months ago . All latest batch do not have the problem .
Check the weeks number before purchase or you might need to sent to service center for afew days to replace the LCD .

If i were to choose from xperia arc s and galaxy s advance, which one do you recommend?
my priority of the phone are quality and can use for long time, will the gorilla glass of s advance really make it more tahan ?
if i can get xperia arc s for rm850 is it a nice bargain?
my daily usage of phone are surfing internet.
thanks in advance =)
*
For surfing internet both should be fine .

Arc S have better camera , larger screen , ICS while

s advance have better chip and secondary cam

depend on which you want , for me they are kinda equal . And 850 if new ori set i will grab it instantly .

For glass both drop also break , no drop both are hard enough to last till the phone spoil .

What is the most powerful Android phone for gaming at the moment?

My brother trying to buy the Tegra 3 HTC ONE X. Not the LTE.

Anyone know where they sell it?
*
snapdragon S4 is the best chip on the market .

Currently only HTC one S using it . ( some LTE sg3 and HTC one X also )

AMOLED vs LED-backlit LCD 16M colors
Which one better ? are both IPS color lcd ?

Actually anyone know which website to compare LCD screen on hand phone ? which manufacturer using which kind of LCD screen ?
*
Lets make it simple .

AMOLED = LED screen

LED backlit LCD = LCD screen

AMOLED give better contrast but the colour reproduction is weaker than LCD , the display looks more colourful in the same time more dim than LCD screen . Share less % of the screens of mobile phone .

LCD screen have vary types and qualities due to different $ in production and the type of display needed . There is different quality of LCD product from cheap phone to high end phones . The contrast and viewing angle or colour reproduction is depend on the technology used . It usually product realistic colour with lower contrast than LED display but high end LCD will have high ratio of contrast also .

Both high end LCD and LED screen is equal at high end level . But LED myth to be superior tech because only high end device using it and the less number of device with this type of display . Althought LCD tech is older but it still continue developing and sharing large percentage in the market due to its flexible and stable tech available .

Actually I am comparing with Samsung galaxy advance S and Xperia Sola
Galaxy S is AMOLED while Sony Xperia Sola is using LED-Backlit .I worry it's just poor IPS screen.
Non of them are like Apple Iphone LCD screen IPS ? which is IPS 8-bit ?
*
Nowsday all LCD are 16.2M colours .
Almost all of the device out there is 8 bit RGB .
And sola reach this standard .

"Non of them are like Apple Iphone LCD screen IPS ?" Yes , and no . Standard mid class will looks like apple LCD .
But mostly higher quality will surpass the normal 8bit . For example white magic will surely more sub pixel than iphone normal LCD .

You mean Xperia P ? white magic ?
Mostly high end phone are on 8bit but the sharpness doesn't par with Iphone screen. As I look , non of the phone is as sharp as iphone , somehow I dont understand , Iphone screen look more crisp than other samsung phone even on Super AMOLED +. Maybe my eye got problem , rclxub.gif

As I never seen a xperia P before , maybe I'll have a look. If Sola is 8bit 16m color , then will be fine.Worry those poor 6bit color phone.
Just wondering , any 10-bit LCD phone around ? hm....

iphone isnt the most sharp screen on the market ( at least the 2 in video beat it ) and

you get the whole idea wrong . 8 or 10 bit only affect colour and ntg to do with sharpeness most of the screen in the market is 16.2M colour and all of the mid to high smartphone will have 16.2M colour .

Sharpness depend on the pixel . Mostly mid range will have WFVGA screen at most and they are bigger size than iphone tiny screen so it might not as sharp .

Try those 720p screen device on the market .

You should really put those device side by side to choose or watch some youtube video .

Discuss the tech on paper wont help on decide a speaker or a screen .

http://www.gsmarena.com/sony_xperia_s_vs_s...eview-734p5.php

sIII web browsing time 5 hours 10 minutes and xperia s 5 hours 24 minutes . No different for me .

You are asking too much from xperia s , the time is normal for all the smart phone .

Web browsing run 3g , screen , touch input and cpu for all time so it might drain more battery than playing HD game .

Even razr maxx can last 7 hours + only for web browsing .

If you really so rich then buy sIII and spare afew more battery with you . Or just simply buy a large capacity power bank .

hi guys, need reCommendations on my first smartphone

brand: doesn't really matter if it fits d specs
budget: around RM 1k,with or without contract
priority specs: I would be using d phone to take photos, play some facebook games,do some reading and whatsapping.

Notes: Since most of my family dun like to pose n take pics,I was thinking to get a phone with a fast startup of d camera interface.n since also i've got quite unsteady hands I'd like to get a phone with burst photography coz I realized image-stabilization doesnt really work well for me.Of course having a flash is desirable too,as I anticipate an urge to take photos in dimly lit areas e.g. having dinner with frens in a dimly lit place.

p.s: can some sifus advice me on the Fujitsu F-12C Globetrotter phone?
*
Xperia P for you . Press the shutter button instant start and take picture in 2 seconds .

At low light places one V burst shot also no use due to weak sensor ( one V 2 images per seconds in burst mode )

xperia P have 8mp Exmor R sensor which take better detail image at low light without even need the flash .

It have one of the best camera among androids phones .

Will try it when there's a 720p phone available .

I miss out another question , is there any phone below RM 350 which can do tethering ? Using as 3g modem I mean ?
Asking behalf of my friend ? thanks

Nexus AP sets are selling at RM1199-1222 only at Lelong sellers (satugadget and directd).

Btw, just a bit of info that might be relevant for those choosing between S3, One X and Nexus.

S3 has about 8Gb of internal memory for apps installation, One X about 3Gb and Nexus (if I am not mistaken) 14Gb. If you install a lot of apps, this piece of info may be relevant to your decision.

Cheers
*
No offence , but you are clearly donno what are you talking about .
Its not the way how memory work for application installation .
