Sadly, they do not provide any updates to the android since I bought mine.

Like they abandoned once there is a newer model.

Both tablet s n xperia tablets were developed by a separate department than sony mobile, iinm they were under vaio department. That is why these two tablets wont get any more support after xperia tablet z released.

It's true those tablets were developed by vaio team but it's still operate under sony brand. Furthermore, that department hasnt been abandoned right? I think it's still sony's responsibility to provide a better customer user experience by giving a timely updates. No doubt sony tablet is a beauty in design but the marketing tactic is much more powerful than what it really is.

Anyone have come across the car charger for Sony Tablet S (1st gen tablet)?

I've searched around ebay but mostly all car charger are with micro usb. I'm doubt it can be used as many users in xda have mentioned this tablet is not able to charge thru micro usb.

Kindly advice. Thx.

1st gen or 2nd gen? I still have my 1st gen cradle, not using it anymore.

Btw, new update release for Xperia Tablet S - Android 4.1.1 (Release2)

QUOTE
Sony is currently rolling out a new update for the Xperia Tablet S. The Android 4.1.1 (Release2) update mainly resolves an issue where the clock is unable to sync correctly. Other changes includes improvements to the preview window of the camera application and playback of Video Unlimited content. The update is around 430MB and should be available to download now.

Sony is so unresponsible of their tablet S. I am using it to write this response but typing is so problematiic.

I suggest you give it a try before deciding.

Could be the gazillion apps I have installed and removed thats causing problems.
