Hi ninja, does sony tablet s support wide range of video format like avi,mkv,flv etc?

Does it play smoothly wit the 3rd party app? I mean for 720p mkv movie or tv shows..

I did asked a similar question in arc thread, i saw a few members puttin a lot of 720p movies in their arc n i was wondering can it play smoothly on arc?wat app did u guys use? I did tried to put a 720p mkv movie but it lag/voice not sync usin mx player. I tried different mode sw,swfast n hw mode, depend on wat movie i play, mostly play smoothly accept a hd rip kinda if movies.

Also ninja, i would like to ask, do this tablet s has a bravia engine too? I heard for arc, if a movie playon it using for example mx player, if set sw or swfast mode, it wont take the advantage of the bravia engine, only hw mode wil get d advantage of brabia engine.. mean it wont enhances the color n picta quality.. is this true? Would like u to explain as iinm u owned both arc n tablet s..

Is there any advantage or extra feature offered by sony default mediaplayer?

i wonder why sony devices dont support video format suc as avi, mkv, it is a hassle to always convert the video to mp4 format.. i know we can use 3rd party app like mx player, but the feature such as make it watch into tv is still available? or the feature only available if using the default player?

i really wana get my first own tablet, always borrowed my little brother ipad2 but not satisfied enough as it is not mine..huhu and im always a sony fan, so im considering this tablet s as my first tablet.. i heard ics update for sts will b comin somtime during spring, means somwhere btween march to may right? also from this thread i read 3rd party accessories such as SP, cases are hard to find.. i gues i hv to b more patient and wait.. arghh so many tablet around nowadays, dont know which to choose.. my wish list are plenty, a tablet(prefer STS), ps vita, xperia S..

dunno to get which one first, envy Ninja for owning all those mentions above..

hope u guys can help me decide a bit on which shud i make priority of these three( STS,PS Vita and Xperia S)

1) STS - but afraid sony will release a new tablet wit tegra 3 or quad core proc tho not heard any rumors bout it yet, also otha tablets out there r also very temptin especially the asus TP..

2) PS Vita - got psp, ps3 and gamin built pc already.. i will buy this for sure as i owned every ps from ps1,ps2,ps3 and psp..

3) Xperia S - currently usin Xperia Arc.

guys, most likely wil buy this tablet at d end of this month, however before i buy this, is there any major issue regarding this tablet i shud b aware off? i heard this tablet has a very serious wifi issues, like a very very weak wifi signal.. is it true? is it can fixed wit the latest firmware?

haiya.. the moment i decided to buy the tablet s , suddenly the news of sony tablet wit a quad pops up..

btw guys, i need some opinion regarding this processing power, in wat term i shall c the differences in dual core vs quad core for tablet? is it only in gaming? or more smooth watsoever? r the differences significant?

im gettin the tablet s by this weekend, any advice? shud i wait for this rumours to become true?

Added on March 25, 2012, 3:33 amneed some help guys, i install mangawatcher, it was succesful n im able to read manga.the problem is when i connect my sts to my laptop to transfer my manga from the sts, i unable to find the mangawatcher folder.. i checked with astro app, the mangawatcher folder exist, however it wont show on my laptop.. any idea why?

Honestly after near 36 hrs playing with this tablet, I say this is the best tablet for me. The screen is great n crisp, it is quite smooth. I love this tablet so much more than my ipad 2. ipad 2 is also great but I guess im for android then ios anytime. Really hate the itunes.

i do not sure why, when i connect my sts to my laptop, there is no mangawatcher folder in it. but when i look inside my sts via astro file explorer, the folder was there. weird.. also, i kinda hav two internal memory, 1 is bout 8 gb free, another 1 is bout 3 gb free..

Via usb modem is not possible, but mifi can.

16gb is enough for me.. tho the price I bought two weeks ago can get me the 32gb version today..really no luck for me
