QUOTE(countdracula @ Dec 28 2011, 09:31 PM) Yeah, tried with my Samsung LED TV, I can stream songs and photos, but not video, somehow my Samsung can't recognize the format. QUOTE(kyle9 @ Dec 30 2011, 05:09 PM) I can't find any locally; I guess have to import from Singapore.Anyway, some good news, for those planning to get this tablet: QUOTE Sony Cuts Tablet S Pricing By $100 Sony is hoping you'll kick off the New Year by picking up a 16GB or 32GB Tablet S device priced as low as $400 -- $100 cheaper than the device's original pricing. The new price tag also brings Sony's Android 3.1 Honeycomb-based tablet $100 below the cost of competing iPad 2 models, which are priced at $500 (16GB) and $600 (32GB). Sony's latest price drop follows a $50 price cut during the holiday season, but this drop appears to be permanent. Source: http://www.pcworld.com/article/247160/sony...ing_by_100.html |

Maybe can try change your remote battery? Probably infra-red not strong enough to be detected by STS.

QUOTE(uzary @ Jan 16 2012, 12:23 PM) Does it play smoothly wit the 3rd party app? I mean for 720p mkv movie or tv shows.. I used paid app 'DicePlayer' for MKV files. So far very smooth for 720p TV shows. Full movies I haven't tried, coz most of the files I already reencoded to MP4.I did asked a similar question in arc thread, i saw a few members puttin a lot of 720p movies in their arc n i was wondering can it play smoothly on arc?wat app did u guys use? I did tried to put a 720p mkv movie but it lag/voice not sync usin mx player. I tried different mode sw,swfast n hw mode, depend on wat movie i play, mostly play smoothly accept a hd rip kinda if movies. QUOTE Also ninja, i would like to ask, do this tablet s has a bravia engine too? I heard for arc, if a movie playon it using for example mx player, if set sw or swfast mode, it wont take the advantage of the bravia engine, only hw mode wil get d advantage of brabia engine.. mean it wont enhances the color n picta quality.. is this true? Would like u to explain as iinm u owned both arc n tablet s.. For STS, they're using Sony 'TruBlack' , the same technology used in Bravia TVs. Very superb contrast, vivid colours. I think it provides similar colour production as Mobile Bravia Engine.QUOTE(Aimar Walabi @ Jan 16 2012, 02:38 PM) Haven't tried with 1080p, only 720p.QUOTE(Aimar Walabi @ Jan 16 2012, 03:53 PM) oo ok.. hope with no lagging issue.. does it have OTG USB for connect ext HDD or thumbdrv? can support 320GB ext HDD ? Can connect with USB thumbdrive, and can directly play movies/songs from it. For external HDD, I think still needs external power to connect. |

Looks ugly cause everything is pixelated Your video file is HD or SD? Or maybe you can check your zoom settings whether it's in 'Original' or 'Fit-to-Window?QUOTE(Hianz @ Jan 17 2012, 05:07 PM) Hi, If I'm not mistaken, Amazon don't ship electronic goods to Malaysia.Anyone has successfully ordered this tablet from online Amazon.com? QUOTE PSP Games Coming To PlayStation Certified Devices So far, the PlayStation Certified program hasn’t been that impressive, only offering a few PlayStation One titles with added touch controls. But the program looks to be taking the next logical step and adding more recent PSP games. The Entertainment Software Rating Board has listed several PSP titles for “PlayStation Certified Devices”, including Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror, Daxter and flOw (presumably the PSP version, not the PS3 one) and a whole bunch of Pinball Heroes games based on popular SCE properties – Fat Princess, ModNation Racers, Motorstorm, Wipeout HD, High Velocity Bowling, Hot Shots Golf, PAIN and Uncharted. If the PSP games will be available on all PlayStation Certified products, that will include Sony’s S and P tablets, the Xperia Play, the Xperia Arc and Acro in Japan and the upcoming Xperia S and Xperia ion. ICS 4.0 is coming~
QUOTE Sony Tablet S and Tablet P Android 4.0 update 'this spring' Sony has told TechRadar that it will be bringing Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich to its tablet portfolio this spring – which is the first time the company has actually named a time frame for the update. Before, Sony would only confirm a 'coming soon' but at an event in London, a spokesperson for the company said that ICS would be hitting both the Sony Tablet S and Sony Tablet P in the spring and at the same time. This means that the tablets will be getting Ice Cream Sandwich around the same time as Sony's phone portfolio. Sony also said that both tablets would be getting a new update in the near future which would bring Microsoft Office functionality but the company didn't actually dwell on what this update would entail. Sony also showed off its PlayStation Certified gaming platform on the Tablet S and announced that it has now made it compatible with a PlayStation controller. This means that you don't have to use the on-screen controls for the games on the PlayStation Store. This is something that OnLive has been trialling as well and by all accounts using a physical controller with your tablet makes the gaming experience a whole lot better – as long as you have a stand for your tablet that is. At the event, Sony was upbeat about its rather late assault on the tablet market. It reckoned that it had the biggest selling Android tablet over this period but was reticent to give out any numbers.
