Guys, i'm using Asus N43SL 14" right now, someone wants to trade it with N55SF 15.6". I really like the design of the laptop. And I'm quite a gamer, the upgrade GPU is a plus right? How much should i add if i want to trade my laptop with him? Is RM200 enough?
My laptop specs: i5 2410m 8gb ram 640gb hdd gt540m 1gb n43-sl got bang & olufsen ICEpower really nice sound~ same like yours just without the small woofer.
His laptop specs: Intel® Core™ i5-2430M 2.4GHZ
NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 555M 2GB DDR3 VRAM
750GB HDD Data
DDR3 Upgraded To 8GB RAM
Diagonal Size : 15.6”

Not very sure about the specifics, but I think there is such a thing... you might wanna ask users directly Added on December 28, 2011, 11:04 amQUOTE(Firdaus92 @ Dec 28 2011, 10:37 AM) Guys, i'm using Asus N43SL 14" right now, someone wants to trade it with N55SF 15.6". You might wanna check thoroughly before dealing.. If the laptop is in pristine condition, then RM150-200 would be enough~ This post has been edited by [PF] T.J.: Dec 28 2011, 11:04 AM

QUOTE(Abg-SEM @ Dec 26 2011, 09:13 PM) hi sifus.. i need some reccomendation. i will buy a 2nd hand lappy (save budget) preferably for gaming, movie etc.. some work oso the choice is between 1. Asus A42JV (i5 480m + GT 335M) 2. Dell XPS 1460 ( Core 2 Duo P8700 + HD4670) i could get about same price actually,,,.. or isit better if i go for A43TA (A6+HD6720G2) ? heard dat amd proc isnt so good compared with intel.. 1. It will perform gaming better than the SXPS 1640 since it has lower resolution, but the speaker is quite soft if you intend for movies. It also has high temperature when gaming. 2. It has better screen and speaker+subwoofer compared to A42Jv. When comparing A42Jv and SXPS 1640 side-by-side, you can see A42Jv's screen is yellowish. Gaming performance still decent but need overclocking. Temperature can be quite cool after doing some maintenance.

Hello it's me again. Apparently I decided to increase my budget to get a better laptop.
The factors that I'm still considering are the portability and performance. Portability wise it should be below 14" and below 2kg. Performance wise just enough to do normal activities like surfing, movies, words, etc. gaming is not a priority. The budget will 2.5k and below.
The one i'm considering now is acer aspire s3. Isit a good buy?
Thank you.

A bit scare to buy laptop with nvdia gc It all depends on the design of the laptop itself, since its a 15" laptop, it should theoretically run cooler, so far there's no overheating issues for the A53Sv, and mind you, it has been around for quite some time liao (only different in specs)~ I guess its safe to say that the A53Sv is the perfect pick at the moment~
