Asus G Series near RM4K.

Btw TS, you should ask at http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/2162563
Anyway, others normally will suggest you best-bang-for-bucks.

Try look around shop, see which you one you like.

+1!
The HP would be the better pick
HP dv6-6c19TX, i7-2670QM + AMD HD7690M XT@RM3099[Beats]
*
With RM3K budget, I also agree with this pick. I like HP built quality.
Btw, HD7690 is the rebadged from which 6000 series?

Well, laptop reliability sometimes depends on luck.
Personally, if reliability, I trust more on Toshiba and HP from experience.

1. Preferred Brand: anything will do
2. Budget:<RM3k , though i would really like to keep it under RM2k
3. Usage: student stuffs, words, mid-end games. DotA2 please at least.
4. Preferred laptop/screen size: 13"-14"

i need a laptop that is lightweight, thin for me to be able to carry it to class without much of a hassle. (since my current studio1555 is so bulky+heavy..) yet able to perform for med-requirements games..(dota2 anyone?)

i did some homework first and found out my best bet would be Dell Inspiron 13z. their lowest end model will only cost me RM1799. but im afraid it is not powerful enough to play even medium games  wink.gif my next choice would be Aspire S3 but a bit costly, RM2599.

so to sifus out there, what is ur opinion? u have something better in mind? any worth upgrade for inspiron 13z? or u know a greater laptop with same budget?
*
Dell Inspiron 13z and Aspire S3 also not capable of gaming.
Get at least >AMD HD6720 or > Nvidia GT540M for better gaming experience.

Between these 4 which one is the best choice?

Lenovo Y470, i7-2670QM + Nvidia GT550M (2GB)@RM2799[JBL], 750GB, Lenovo P350 headset

Asus N43SL (Jay-Chou edition), i5-2430M + Nvidia GT540M
(2GB)@RM2799[Bang & Olufsen], *USB3.0, Colors: Gold/Red

HP Pavilion Dv4-3138TX, i5-2430M + AMD HD6750@RM2899

Aspire 4755G-2674G75, i7-2670QM + Nvidia GT540M@RM2799[2.3kg]

Prefer Lenovo Y470 or Dv4-3138TX for the more powerful graphic card and built quality.
