Depends what direction you're taking also with your mics smile.gif

BTW, zzzxtreme what overheads are you using? I'm using the Audio Technica Pro 37R now.

oh need drum mat ? or any carpet can ?

I have shure drum mic kit (pg52, pg56 (2x) , pg81 (2x)). the overheads and cymbals are supposed to use Shure PG81. but I have audio technica AT2020 condenser which is quite awesome. and an SM57, which is supposed to be good for snares. so 8 mics total. I haven't experimented yet. I'm really a beginner trying to learn smile.gif

any tips?

The use of Drum mat is to prevent the kick drum aka bass drum from "creeping" forward then you're drumming...imagine u play halfway need push back the bass drum laugh.gif

Wah Nice mics you got there!!!
I envy you tongue.gif

Ahh, I see.

Yes, even small changes here and there, like the direction you position your mics, or even two or three inches closer or farther, will result in a drastic sound change. So yeah biggrin.gif
