Hmm...can't seem to find the berried female. hmm.gif  If she has un-berried, I wouldn't be able to recognise her from the rest.
Anyway didn't spot any shrimplets lately. Do shrimplets tend to hide most of the time?
*
shrimplets will stay at spot they born for fews day then start to wonder around. yes they like to hide but after few molting they will come out like the adult.
unless your water parameter got problem , shrimplets will survive. high nitrate is one of the main killer so do high organic waste load.
If you are using ADA soil which age are less then 6 mths , ammonia spike maybe the culprit.

Checked my Ammonia, Nitrite & Nitrate... all 0ppm. pH around 6.5-7.0. Perhaps I should get a GH kit as well to determine why my shrimps don't seem to be interested in breeding. I suspect my water could be hard cos I get all this lime build up in my old 2 ft tank. Does that make sense?

Speaking of molting, I saw the one of the shrimps skull / skin / exoskeleton. After that, I counted and one shrimp is missing. Are there usually any signs of weird behaviour after molting?

Actually, dupe account affected us. on selling stuffs and giving ideas and knowledge. for me, those are a waste for us to contribute to the dupe account.we here take serious of what people ask. like brother arrow, flipmode, leonz, december rose and others that active in this threads. also in the planted tank thread. we here want to guide not in this thread only but we will guide until in front of your tank if you ask to. because, we want to create a society and spending some times with and sharing hobbies with the same interest people.so, i would like to ask all not to troll2 in here.hehehe. small trolling can lor. but please respect the members here. if donwan to respect the person, at least respect their efforts that keep this thread alive and kicking. just my point of view. thanks. icon_rolleyes.gif

I have no luck in bringing down nitrate to zero, i only manage to reduce to 5ppm in 2ft tank, but other smaller tank hanging around 20ppm tongue.gif . Thinking of using stem plant in breeder box to absorb nitrate but most plants sold are fert & pesticide contaminated. doh.gif
Yes. you should test GH. Lime build-up , what is your tap water PH? or you have any limestone in tank?

how about those floating plants from garden?
i think we can easily get them for very cheap price. just that their roots are very annoying.
P.S.: i not sure if they put any pesticide in growing. that.

bro, is cherry shrimplet right?

they will be in transparent color n less than 1mm size, quite hard to spot them. or u can spend an hour or more searching for them smile.gif

btw, normally first few days u wont see them, after around 3 days then u will start seeing them on plants.  rclxms.gif
*
so far all Neocaridina Shrimps i have , shrimplets is transparent white when born and develop color after a weeks.
If you have an spot/dust algae infested glass like mine, you will easily spot them since they like to munch/hang on them.
the cutesiest shrimplets is crs/cbs & sulawesi shrimplets.

you mean water lettuce etc ? i notice they prefer clam water and load of light,
my tank not suit those, they normally melt, and ya the root is a mess cos when it shed it pollute the water.
so no luck growing them except duckweed, but as you know duckweed is a nuisance itself. doh.gif

To detect pesticide/poison, i test every new plants with feeder shrimps first.

I must admit i very blur on plants, as in the case be cheated for java moss as xmoss for 1yrs ++. brows.gif
Is those plants belong to Hornworts type? cos i read on net, Hornworts are supreme nitrate sucker. No need to plant them in soil, just let them hang around in breeder box or in tank will do.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hornwort

heheeh.. u still want berried shrimps... hahahah another grandpa wannabe. i have quite a number of
berried red cherry shrimps(not red fire) on another tank, but they look like giving birth soon. shocking.gif

don't worry, rotala also ammonia sucker. according to ahmad's encyclopedia hehehe.

dunno lor bro. but some people said that most of the stem plants are nitrate sucker.and also depending on the photosynthesis acivity. means, if the lighting is medium lighting for the tank, they need to use fert more to photosynthesis. so, they will suck the nitrate more.dunno my theory right or wrong.huhu
