That means location service not using the telco plan.

I order iPhone 4s from Apple online store. Wait around 2 weeks to arrive. Price is cheaper than buying from shop which mark up price for non contract. If u can wait and don't want the contract then buy with Apple online store will be better. But u have to wait la... The phone will be deliver to u by DHL from SG

yes its unlocked. Ofcourse better.. but u have to cut your sim card into Micro sim.. u can go to any maxis centre to cut, they cut for u FOC.

iPhone4s 16gb MAXIS Set running latest iOS 5. Quite heavy usage for the past 24 hours... Overall, i am quite satisfied with the battery life... What u guys think?

very good, mine never past 1 day (24 hours) standby, have to charge after 16-20 hours standby, usage also about 7-8 hours only.

I like Samsung as it doesn't need special size SIM, can add memory card and replace battery easily. On the other hand, iPhone gives you the elegant look and feel with glass and metal finish.

Since my wife got Samsung, so I get the 4S. So far no regret, but i think Android gives you more flexibility (unless you jb). Anyway, I am new to smartphone and still in exporing stage, not yet expert in both OS, thus my opinion may change after I have used long enough with both.

okay this one depends on your carrier. when you use foursquare or facebook with location or maps or anything that uses the internet you're going to be sending data to their server. so of course there will be data usage. depending on your telco carrier and data plan, that will determine your charges.
e.g. i use digi with 3gb/month of data. so whatsapp, foursquare, basically internet usages i get up to 3gb, after i max out my 3gb, anything else i use is extra data, BUT with digi you don't get charged for extra data, it just slows your internet speed down alot

i think with maxis u have extra data charges, not sure how much u have to check with maxis users or check with ur telco page la. so u can't really ask "will i get charge when using location services?" because it all depends on your data usage.
if when u use ur location services, ur data has not maxed out yet, then no u wont get EXTRA charges, but ull just pay whatever it is ur data plan is
if when u use ur location services, ur data plan has maxed out, then depending on your telco you will pay extra charges.
