QUOTE(ylsy @ Jan 2 2012, 09:15 PM) Is collar safe for sg ? tot of getting 1 bt hv to confirm it's safe 1st... They should never wear any kind of collar permanently. It's not safe. You can put it on for a short while to take pics, but it should go off and never kept on. check this : http://qqanimal.com/viewthread.php?tid=801 http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=1022352...=&cm_id=&pm_id= Thx QUOTE(95273421 @ Jan 3 2012, 11:29 PM) They can for short period of time, but not recommended. They will also be running in their own pee and poo and resulting to staining and will smell. Do take note they can easily injure themselves.QUOTE(kira_88 @ Jan 5 2012, 02:08 AM) hi, need to ask some quick question here.i've noticed this few days that my sg hissing everytime during pooing. is this normal?i've done some googling and find no solution yet. anybody here have experienced this?if not im thinking of bringing it to the vet. It is not normal. The way you explained it sounds like It could be UTI (Urinary tract infection). Its a bacterial infection, Seek a vet immediately.his diet consist mainly of fruit such as apple mango and some other fruit.some vegetable and also bugsy hpw complete |

As long as there is food provided for them, mealworms are not difficult to breed.

Hi guys, would like to ask the experts here. I bought a sugar glider on New Years Eve w/ my boyfriend. She crabbed alot on the first day we brought her back home but now she's already okay and doesn't crab haha
She's kind of used to my hand already but does get a little jumpy when she feels it's "suddenly" there. She's awake right now and active but since yesterday, I put my hand in a fist (the back towards here) near her (I'm trying to get her to jump on it so I can play with her), she just reaches forward and licks and bites my knuckles. Is she hungry? O.o Cause she mostly bites, thinking there's food? lol |

Nipping doesn't hurt as much as a hard bite. Still looks as if shes biting. If it is indeed a nip, then shes just grooming you. She's beginning to trust you, start to bond with you. Is she hungry? O.o Cause she mostly bites, thinking there's food? lol coz most of the time new ppl bond with treats so when ever u put ur hands out it might signal giving treats to them.. but take ur time try picking her up from her belly insted.. if she charges at ur hand and bite it, it might be becuase it's defensive for jumpy most of the gliders are very alert and every sudden movement they will get startled.. unless u take them out often n mingle with other ppl then they might adapt to noises n new places easily |

Want to ask something..If I go on vacation overnite, would it be OK to leave my SG at home and if so, what should I provide for her in her cage??
If the trip is more than overnite thing, then what should I do? Put her up for boarding or bring her along. What are the supplies that I should have. I would probably have to sneak her up to the hotel room which usually has "No Pets Allowed" policy. Would SG's be OK with hotel rooms air conditioning??? I usually set at 22 deg Celsius.... Would appreciate some views or experiences here.... |

here is my case:
went for a trip to penang staying in hotel 3D2N. I brought my suggie along in the bonding pouch. I have a portable cage, Exo Terra Explorarium, which i brought along. I set up the cage and put him in there, then I put that "Do Not Disturb" sign at the room door so nobody comes in I had nobody to take care of my suggie so i have to bring him along no matter what and this method works XD |

It's possible. I've should have taken a picture of my laundry basket that got destroyed by my glider, she bit off the laundry basket plastic. Since it's quite hard, it happens over a period of time. So if the nylon netting is soft & your glider likes to bite a lot, it's possible to escape over a few hours. There are some people that offers boarding services for SGs. Either that or find some friends that you can trust your SG with for several days. I think it's safer that way. This post has been edited by NightHeart: Jan 12 2012, 02:30 PM |
