it definitely won't eat. until it molt/hatch/turn (dunno wat to call it) into a beetle..
then u need to quickly remove the beetle and put in another container or it will eat the other pupae..
then just feed the beetle like u feed the mealworm..
then after 2weeks if i'm not mistaken, remove the beetles into new container koz they probably lay eggs in that container..

no no no no no never... pls nooooo..
u should learn before u breed... but i'm really glad that u asked..
pls no.. dun seperate them..
it will stress out the mother..
the male play an important part in taking care of the joey(s) after they're born...
when the mother go out and play, he'll take care of the joey(s)
plus if u seperate them... the mother will be really stress.. she might reject the joey(s)..
or even worst... eat them..

wanna ask
should I separate the pregnant female with the male?

the male will never eat the baby..
sg are very different from others like rabbit... or hamster...
the male will babysit the babies..
when the mum go out to eat or play..
both of them need to be together..

Added on February 10, 2012, 11:34 pm1. cry? u mean barking.? she's lonely.. play with her.. u should spend time and play with her.. if u want to bond with her fast, just take her out the cage and play with her in a glider-proof room..

2. wakes up u mean she's trying to get out or just moving, adjusting her position then go back to sleep...?
mine never wants to eat in the day.. u could give her some treats or fruits.. it's like midnite snack..

hi guys, i'm a newbie hereĀ  - 2 ques~

1-when my joey lily cry in her cage -should i calm her from outside or justĀ  sit next to her cage,

last 3 night it happen [2nd day wif me..] so i gently stroked on her and calm her down. it works, but im just curious-what exact things to do IF it happened again...i read that they cry coz calling for family, so i'm getting another female soon..

2-i bring her along in bonding pouch to office, when she wakes up should i gave her treat when she's in the pouch ? in the morning [at 6.30] already gave her fruit blend wif vegies.

can't take her out, since she's not totally bond with me.afraid she ran away lah..

yeah... it's scary if that happened.. i meant fell asleep with they still roaming around..
it's either u slept on them or they got stuck somewhere in ur room full with things..
or got out from the room.. or even drown.. we must treat them like a baby.. really take good care of them.. they're really fragile..

she's snoring or dreaming..!!!! LOL..
if i'm not mistaken, if her nose watery wet, the sound might be coz of flu..
i give bugsy pellet in the morning only when i left them at home..
my sg main diet is HPW, fruits and veggie...
nowadays, u could get SG pellet at most pet stores.. or even online stores..
