No time yet, busy week ahead for me. Perhaps I will check the feedback in the crackberry forum before I decide.

I bought an otterbox from a forumer here. Tricky

The case is great and with the added protection, 9790 is about the same thickness as my old 9700 naked. thumbup.gif

you can try the phone repair in digital mall and lowyat plaza. guess that is your best bet.

make sure you get a few quote before you confirm the repair.

good luck

u know, before this i am using 9360 curve apollo.. it has only 1000mah.. so, i try to find a solution and finally i buy sunglobal. it is shows that the battery got 1850mah power and the result is still.... sad.gif BAD  (i dunno why they still selling this and said that it has more power than ori batt) wanna cheat ka? really upset

other than that, when using this battery, my phone is exhausted and die without warning! (even my battery indicator shows that battery is still got around 20% left power)..  vmad.gif  vmad.gif  vmad.gif

so i decided to sell that model and finally i bought 9790.. for me, its better than curve apollo (in terms of battery life).. trust me.. i hope RIM can bring something that can help us to fix this main issue  sweat.gif

My old 2nd phone was Curve 9360 and i faced exactly the same problem as yours. Batt left another 20-30% but after few minutes it totally died off without any warning. I thought it was a problem of the battery, but i was wrong. I actually just bought the for 4 months and no way the battery's gonna die on me that soon.

So decided to update all necessary apps and also the OS. My mistake that i didnt update at all the OS and apps since i got it. Once finish update, did a reboot and my Curve 9360 became just like new again. No quick drainage of battery and still using it now. The batt can last me at least 1 whole day.

Also make sure that not necessary apps running on background. That'll use up a lot of your battery life.

Less than 24 hours with the new firmware, maybe I need more time to notice improvements..

User feedback on crackberry forum seems to indicate better battery life - http://goo.gl/k1RRe

If your only concern is battery life, you can always consider a spare battery and a batt charger. Carry the fully charged spare as a standby with you. Charge both phone and spare batt at night and you won't have to worry about battery drain during the day.

thanks for ur feedback but it always need an extra money for the battery hehe
i do some research and i saw many members in Crackberry said that we need to do battery pulls to increase a batt life.. one of them said
"After doing some battery pulls, I have to say that my battery is now MUCH better than it used to be"
for me, it is good to be true. for now, i am using v7.0.0.611 (maybe a bit better than my previous v557 OS)
it seems ok ok la for me and i feel its completely eliminate my phone heating issue - still monitoring the advantage of this OS sweat.gif

My Current OS ----> Official v7.0.0.611 from Orange UK

In my experience, os7.1 is consistently better on battery life compared to os7.0.

Anyway, the basic principle is 'no money no honey' smile.gif

Btw, I have a paid app named quicklauncher that reboots my phone daily (at 6am) to ensure that I have a 'fresh' phone before I leave home, ie no apps active in the background to drain battery and cause heating issues..
