My old 2nd phone was Curve 9360 and i faced exactly the same problem as yours. Batt left another 20-30% but after few minutes it totally died off without any warning. I thought it was a problem of the battery, but i was wrong. I actually just bought the for 4 months and no way the battery's gonna die on me that soon. So decided to update all necessary apps and also the OS. My mistake that i didnt update at all the OS and apps since i got it. Once finish update, did a reboot and my Curve 9360 became just like new again. No quick drainage of battery and still using it now. The batt can last me at least 1 whole day.
Also make sure that not necessary apps running on background. That'll use up a lot of your battery life.
