u can definitely change back to stock rom anytime u want. here r d stock roms: V1.09 and V1.10. Dont forget d included instructions in pdf.

Hey guys.. sorry for this noob question. Looking at getting the wifi version. Is it possible to do video call with skype? will i be needing a bluetooth headset or normal headset for it or is there already a built-in microphone... TQ.

1. currently i'm using samsung galaxy SL (stock froyo-4 gig memory only).. currect memory space is 200 mb.. and still running smooth .. is this tablet will feel the same speed expreience like my SL.. or far more lagging like china brand apad (u touch one application took 10-15 second to open)

2. display.. compare to samsung galaxy tab 7.0 (old version).. is that bad or equavellent? or the display is like csi tablet?

Hi Guys im vegacomb 3.2 9n update 3. and wonder does this tablet support WMV/Divx/Avi file format at 1080/720p? I am using mobo player. Sometimes the files appears on the file manager but when i try to play it the screen kinda dims and it will stall with no playback.

i think theres some misunderstanding on ur part bro.. the 10s is faster than the 10.1 with stock rom

anyone facing dead pixel problem?

dunno about wmv and divx format...but i tested avi and mkv @ 720p and it definitely can be played on this tablet by using dice player v1.8.2 (plus tegra codecs) with hardware decoding. i tried mobo player...it can play avi files...but doesnt support hardware...only software decoding even with tegra codecs installed. BTW, I used ES file explorer as file manager coz its stable and also support LAN/wifi video streaming. when d screen dims when u try to open a file...try to rotate ur tablet to portrait mode...coz its a known bug in vegacomb.

dont have dead pixel problem...maybe u can claim warranty?

Hi guys, do you face the problem of the battery drop drastically when you turn off the tablet and open back?

For example, when the battery is still 60%, then i turn it off and open it again, the battery become 20%, I using vegacomb 3.2 update 9n.

I will...but not today coz d rom is still very new...might wait few more days and see d replies/experience from other rom users 1st...

viewcomb/vegacomb r famous for their battery drain problem. To make it less...u can try to reset/re-calibrate your battery stat by using d included battery calibration app...just follow d instructions in d app. U can also use setcpu or cpu master app and set profile=powersave while screen off to slow down ur processor freq to d minimum. In addition...u can also install battery saver app and set everything(wifi, bluetooth, sync, sound and screen) to off when ur tablet in sleep mode (screen off).

how bad battery consumption on viewcomb/vegacomb.. ?

well...it depends on ur usage. if with wifi only (continuous)...on par with stock...around 6 hours. but with games/videos..it might be much less than that. IMO...d only real difference is d battery drain when on standby/sleep... coz d viewcomb/vegacomb doesnt fully support deep sleep mode. From what i've read...d best rom to use for longest battery life is Corvus5 + SP1...but its based on froyo 2.2.

what version is ur viewcomb? if its 6.3...then u need to tap on Shuttle tools app...and set d USB mode to Host. Then, u connect ur usb thumb drive to the tablet and then open ur file manager/explorer and go to /mnt/usb/system_usb folder. Just a reminder...not all usb thumb drives r friendly to this tablet...and also when u connect ur drive...make sure there's no SD card corrupt/damage message in d system bar (bottom right corner next to ur clock). For d diskmount...it's not needed when u r using usb thumb drives...it just mount ur drive as an SD card rather than usb drive...still dunno d reason for this.

To connect to ur pc...u need to set ur USB mode to peripheral so that ur pc can recognize it...but still need windows driver (i think).
