b4 this i swap 1 hdd to ssd on my G53sx-1208v , i like the speed!!! now using other laptop, really cannot tahan the low speed...

if they refund, i also will buy 2hdd bay laptop....

Alright. Do let us know though. Hopefully it does comes with a dual disk bays. Cause i want to upgrade one of them to SSD

G75VW layout is fixed to support Dual Hard Disk Bay and Sub woofer as the user manual did mention how to clean the vent only for G75VW.

As opposed to G53SX.

It says 500GB + 500GB.

No Subwoofer, No access to vent for cleaning. They manged to shrink the size by reducing few components.

Then get G75. It has sub woofer, dual hard disk bay, access to vent cleaning.

I guess its better to stick to G53SX, if u couldn't stand it, sell it and get something else or a desktop which would last u for next 2-3 years.
Nvidia Kepler performance is impressive yet comparing sandy to ivy bridge performance gap isn't that big.

G55 will slightly lose left corner balance without its battery. Bear in mind of that.

Y is it dissapointing? dont forget that the g55 is still a strong laptop..but yeah, if you got more $, buy the g75, if got bugjet like me. Then the g55 is still a good gaming laptop

Exactly, if u want to do more modding, then have to spend more for g75. Small size always compromize some features

It is still a good gaming laptop. Cause i might be using this laptop for many years to come (maybe 4-5years?) to do my architectural works. So i wont be upgrading anytime soon. A SSD upgrade will be very useful to me, I'll be doing alot of multitasking on my laptop. And i know many will ask me to get a desktop instead, but i wont be staying at home most of the time. I'm staying outside, and sometimes i'll have to overnight in my school studio to do my projects. So a laptop will have to do for now, just for the conveniency. And also, cause im still a student, i cant afford/dont need a Precision laptop to do my works yet. And they're too expensive so a gaming laptop is what closest to my needs now (aside from the occasion gaming)

well, guess i just have live with it then. I think it'll be sufficient enough. Also, like you, i dont mind the subwoofer. I'm getting a headphone soon, and will be getting more headphones in the future. Set my eye on this AiAiAi Tma-1 headphone already currently saving up for that.

edit: and cannot wait longer for a laptop anymore. Need one asap, cause i need to work on my portfolio and im starting my uni soon. Wouldnt mind the G75 really, i kinda like it more than the G55.

G75 will come later than the g55 in malaysia

^exactly the reason why i cant wait for G75. Like i say, need a laptop now to my portfolio and im starting uni soon. Was abit disappointed that new G55 doesnt have a dual disk bay. And i thought G55 will have the similar accessibility to the fan like G75. Tarrak also. Guess i have to live with all that.

It seems like the G55VW uses an mSATA slot for the secondary drive.
