The new Sp 75 could be in Digi's favor after all as Digi is going to need to fork out a ton of cash just to maintain their 900mhz and 1800mhz spectrum. In addition to that, Digi could try to buy more spectrum on the 900mhz as they only have 4mhz compared to celcom which have 34mhz.
This is from thestar.com ( http://www.thestar.com.my/business/busines...rum-shock-wave/ ) Maxis Bhd, Celcom and DiGi would have to pay RM9.55bil, RM9.94bil and RM4.11bil, respectively, to retain their existing spectrum holdings,’’ CIMB adds. Maxis probably is going to be fine as they have alot of cash. This post has been edited by jack2001: Feb 2 2016, 04:58 PM |

UPDATE: Digi has been allocated 2*10Mhz for 900mhz spectrum and 2*20 for 1800mhz spectrum.
Digi went from 2*2mhz to 2*5mhz. Expect slightly better indoor coverage in a few years time. Effective 1 July 2017 This post has been edited by jack2001: Feb 2 2016, 07:51 PM |

QUOTE(fat16 @ Feb 2 2016, 08:41 PM) before 900Mhz spectrum They can move their 3g to 900mhz, leave 1800mhz for 4gMaxis 32MHz, Celcom 34MHz and DiGi 4MHz 1800Mhz all the 3 Telcos (Maxis, Celcom, Digi) each has a 50Mhz after DiGi 2x5MHz of 900MHz and 2x20MHz of 1800MHz Still bad for digi. What to do with 10MHz ? 3G 900 band ? 2G is yesteryear. 1800Mhz band lost 10MHz. |

QUOTE(biatch0 @ Feb 3 2016, 09:01 PM) Posting here just so I can see the replies. Signed up on phone successfully, but don't have a username/password to use to login on any other device... seems kind of pointless if you can only use cellular data to watch iFlix since the 7GB will disappear in a day. First time using digi? |

QUOTE(prosibu @ Feb 3 2016, 10:32 PM) 1800mhz not for 3G also... Digi do use 1800mhz for their 3g.[false]I hope they will utilize the spectrum for LTE... yeap, all of them and giv up 2G .... 3G remain 2100mhz... They used to only have 4mhz for 900mhz and it is used for 2g. EDIT: according to wikipedia, 1800mhz is used for GSM(aka 2g) and lte This post has been edited by jack2001: Feb 3 2016, 11:11 PM |

QUOTE(Reventon @ Feb 4 2016, 12:48 AM) Just activated the digi line, i see my bill cycle is on 15, the data is 7GB and it would be pro rate 7Gb / 30 days and * 11 days ? Or full 7GB for my 11 days to bill cycle ? Your data will always reset during your biling cycle. In this situation, the 15th.I know maxis does pro rate when changing plan. I checked digi ios app and it show me 7GB left till next bill. This post has been edited by jack2001: Feb 4 2016, 05:47 AM |

I gotta say this, Digi's 3g is MUCH superior compared to maxis and celcom. Atleast in Sabah.
Right now where I am at, Digi near full 3g, maxis full gprs, celcom no line at all. |
