wait... Semenyih camp no Colt M16s?!! So Zstan we don't get to fire a single bullet while in camp?
What he meant was, at the NS camps, there are no M16 guns.
For the M16 firing practice, you guys will be transported to for example, Sg. Besi
army camp, to fire them.
However, the army might send some soldiers with the M16 to teach you all how to assemble and dissemble the M16 and other know-how like safety switch and removing and attaching the magazine.
NS camps and army camps are different things.
Sure brings back memories, firing the M16 was fun!
And also a little contest of dissembling and reassembling the M16 the fastest. If you do it slower than any of the girls, you will be ridiculed by your company-mates for sometime.
I went it rather late, after completing my university before I started to look for a job. I was the oldest there and in fact, I was older than some of the trainers there.
Some activities, especially the classroom ones were rather childish (I could not believe being 23 years at that time, I would be playing with color pencils and magic color pens) but educational in some ways and I learned a lot.
I am from Kem Princess Haliza, Sepang and the name speaks for the facilities itself.
