Exactly!!! But i think u are somewhat lucky that he had the shipping straps over the super-fragile door. If not, if the hinge breaks u are in trouble because there's literally no way to fix the door liao.. and that's what happen to mine..

Had to strip and repaint the whole Mac in a matt black race version. Looks nice, but still the point is it will never have operational doors anymore..
Yeah, the fragile hinge is another big problem with the UT Mclarens. I have two other packages that broke the door hinges but that one I consider isolated since nothing else major happened. Just used it as a static shelf display. Anyway, life goes on.

jchue73: Lao Pan, I can feel your frustration... It's part and parcel of buy things online. So hope you manage to get the full refund (ebay buyer protection scheme)... normally you get to send back the broken item at your own expense.
Yeah, part and parcel of buying online. Aiyah... Me not Lao Pan lah.

Nice BBR F430 GT2 you have there, esp that Risi Ferrari was a proven winner, both in LM 24 HR and ALMS.
Thanks. The GT2s are fantastic subjects. I have always loved them in general. Don't like Ferraris in F1 but in GT racing, I love them. I would like to collect more of them but their cost is very prohibitive. Perhaps one day...

Well, as days passed my passion in this hobby is slowly fading out. Now, I'm in the post collection stage (just to complete those few missing one (usually hard to find items))... Perhaps, it's time to call it a day.
I believe your 1:43 collection is HUGE. Sad to hear this but I guess at some point of time coupled with frustrations here and there, you would come to that phase where you would want to take a back seat. Perhaps take another hobby that can be closely associated with diecast and then move on from there. Diorama building? Some point of time, the bug will hit you back and before you know it, you start buying again.
