Yeah, V9!!! Wow, didn't know there was a white R8 GT. Was looking at Maisto catalouge.

Just checked the catalouge again and the R8 Gt only in that one colour. The normal R8 comes either white or red.

myke & lkwanz: Nope. It's not a transkit. It's a full resin kit.

it's basically like this...

Is plastic hobbykit that same as transkit? First time hearing about resin kits.

chan: Nice Lambos! You planning to get all the colours? hehe

aquila: transkit is like a bumper or hood that you can fit onto an existing base model i.e  Novitec transkit that fits onto regular and Elite Ferraris. While kit like the one I showed doesn't require a base model. It's like a 1/18 Tamiya kit.

Oh ok... So, those plastic hobby kits are the same as the resin kit but just the material. What's the pros of resin kit over plastic kit?

Those transkit, since it's the first time hearing it, it is easy to get or those transkit only made by certain manufacturer for certain diecast manufacturing company?

aquila: I would assume there's no difference between resin and Tamiya kits because resin is plastic. But if you're comparing between TAMIYA and these aftermarket kits, then ofcourse the quality is way better from Tamiya.

These transkit are usually done by small companies but APM(Auto Place Model) is quite famous for doing kits like the Enzo GTC, Gemballa MIG and also Novitec's and Hamann's. They're not hard to find but not easy as well because alot of collectors like these kits as it will transform their "regular" diecast into something abit special and different.

blu3hamm3r: Lol. wanted to take family picture but it was raining the whole day yesterday. Lol. But I currently have four SV....Matte Black, Matte White, Yellow and Blue. Tho I will definitely add the Orange one in the future and MAYBE the Green or Red as I'm not sure how the colour is for both. haha.

Ic ok. Thx for that info. I dun intent to go back to those hobby kits as I made my decision to move into diecast.

I'll take a look into the name you have provided. Will be interested if I can modified certain diecast. Is there any other brand names out there you know of apart from the one you just posted? Cheers smile.gif

chan27: Problem is some other parts of the world, AA is still cheap to those buyers therefore a small increment in price dun affect them tongue.gif

I've not follow much supercars of late. Any difference in term of the R8 V8, V10 & GT in term of diecast shape? I know GT has the extra "chicken" wings and cannards.

Finally, Uncle Chia brought in the Bburago Aventador Swaroski Crystal Edition. He mentioned he brought in couple of sets of light and dark crystal. It's on here.

Just checking, is Hotwheels Elite same standard as Autoart and Kyosho? If so, is Ferrari licensed to them as I cannot find any under AA and Kyosho.

Ic ok. Thx for the info, Geeamino. I was thinking of future prancing horses in my collection after the charging bulls so did a bit of looking up. So HW or HWE will only be brand that carries the Ferrari makes then.

I'm thinking of buying some stuff. If anybody looking for the HW Elite F430 Scuderia in 1/18 scale, let me know. I think my lobang has a few brand new unopened box. Yellow or red Autoart Ford GT also got I think. Need to check first.

Thx for the info. I think my next diecast haul can only be after CNY. My money tree is a little bare now. Will look for you once I planned to haul those wild horses. Cheers smile.gif

White coloured one?

Wah... so many laopan and tycoon in diecast. I think my total collection doesn't equal to a 1:18 MR or BBR resin kit tongue.gif
