- Your rig -> Laptop, Mixer, DJ digital controller, iPhone 4
- What type of usage -> Music, music mixing, gaming, movies, studio monitoring
- File format used in your source -> mp3, wav
- Genre of music you listen to -> Pop, club, jazz, classical, bass
- Headphone/ earphone type -> Headphone, preferably the design similar to Numark Redwave headphone (I don't know how to describe that design tongue.gif)
- Other requirements (if any) -> Previously I had my eyes on the Numark Redwave, but I just can't seem to find it selling anymore, at least not in malaysia.. The reason why I have chosen that headphone was mainly for it's balance between Style, Performance and Price. So now I just want to ask if there is any similar headphones that looks good, plays good and pays good at the same time? Thank you in advance for your time and suggestion. smile.gif

My budget will be maximum of RM600. It's flexible but just try not to stretch it out too far. tongue.gif

The award winning AiAiAi TMA-1. It is out of your budget but is the choice of many established DJs around the world. It comes with 2 exchangeable cables. The coiled cable to be used with your mixer. The straight cable with inline mic and control for your iDevices. nod.gif

Soundcard is there, just maybe not "good" enough. Or else there won't be sound coming out tongue.gif

For that price, I'd most probably go for Beyerdynamic DT231pro. But that's headphone and not iem. If you can somehow spare for a little bit more budget, go for Shure SE215. It's one of the bang for the buck IEM. Good for what? Good for rock!

Haha. Happy Head-fi!

I'm just wondering if the AKG K701 is still available on market or it's discontinued?

the new Q701 didn't really impress me because of the missing dedicated headphone stand for it lol tongue.gif

oh wait there is also K702 rite? still there in the market?

and coming from a Grado/Alessandro user, how much will I gain/lose if I were to switch to these?

cuz I sure do wish I have more comfort for my Alessandro MS1i

You will get improved clarity, instrument separation and great comfort nod.gif The K702 does not come with the stand as well but like the Q701, it has detachable cables, much easier to swap nod.gif
