- Music genre: hard rock, metal, symphony metal, glam rock and anything related to these types

I dont think you can get new circumaural + sealed + noise cancelling (pricey tech) headphones for budget below RM 350 in Malaysia market, but for used/refurbished headphone you might find it at LYN garage sale

You can find great deal for Sony Refurbished noise cancelling headphones at here:

[+] http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=1971193&hl=

If you can grab headphones from US market, then Able Planet headphones (circumaural + sealed + noise cancelling + budget below RM 350) is your choice such as NC180CG, NC500TF, XNC230 or NC200

how about circumaural + sealed only? need the circumaural option as i am going to use it for a long period (4-5 hours estimation in one seating).

For rock music + circumaural + sealed + budget below RM 350:

[+] Shure SRH240 - RM 270
[+] Shure SRH440 (much better) - RM370

sad.gif Will RM300 suffice? Really want a full sized headphone but don't mind semi-closed headphones though. Opened headphones will leak and provide less bass right?
Thanks for your suggestion.  smile.gif
*
For full-sized + bass + closed + budget ~RM300 headphones:

[+] Audio-Technica ATH-T200 or ATH-T500 (bass not too strong but its ok + ~RM200)
[+] Audio-Technica ATH-PRO5MK2 (DJ headphones + ~RM300)
[+] Audio-Technica ATH-PRO500 (~RM300) or Audio-Technica ATH-PRO500MK2 (New version + ~RM380)
[+] Sony MDR-XB500 (RM300 ) or MDR-XB700 (~RM380) - built for bass
[+] Aerial7 Tank (DJ headphones + ~RM350)

**Just my opinion, usually DJ full-size headphones will provide you a lot of bass

I'm not sifus, but based on bass + budget below RM200 + earphone/headphone:

[+] Headphones: Sony MDR-XB300 (build for extra bass), Audio-Technica SJ Series (SJ11 / SJ33)

[+] Earphones: Sony MDR-XB41EX, Audio-Technica ATH-CKS55, Sennheiser CX300-II, Jays a-JAYS Series (Two / Three)

Best choice: Sony MDR-XB300 (on-ear) but if you have extra budget (+RM70) better get Sony MDR-XB500 (over-ear) or Audio-Technica ATH-CKS55 for earphone

- Type of usage:  Hearing music while jogging,at office/university, public transport, walking,
- File format:  mp3 320kb/s
- Music genre:  Electronic trance, RnB, generic pop music
- Budget: Less than 300 and Less than 200.
- Headphone/ earphone type:  earbuds  as I don't want sound isolation and they are more comfortable to me.
- Other requirements (if any): I like good sounding bass and highs, hardly care about vocals but of course Id rather have the whole package.
Must be durable enough to jog and exercise with.

Type of usage and music genre in decreasing order of preferrence.
Do recommend me IEMs if they have much better sound quality than earbuds. I just feel safer being able to hear my surroundings.

Thanks but Id rather get earphones without the clip. IMO they don't look nice. The stock earbuds that came with my phone stays on just fine, its just that the sound quality is lacking.
Hows the ATH CKP300
Can't find reviews =(

EDIT: I think Ill get a 2nd hand Shure 215, within budget. Description suits my kinda sound.
*
ATH-CKP300 - Quite bassy for a start but after burn in you will have a balance soundstage. Its IEM not earbud type. Price is around RM180 in the market. (Great value for your money)

Shure SE215 is good sound-isolating IEM but not build for sport so I dont think it sweat-proof (correct me if I wrong coz I dont own Shure SE215)

Which one is best bang for buck for me to buy from the list below. Dont ask me to go jaben its quite far from me.

Ajays 1-3
Klipsch S3
Creative Aurvana
Creative E730

Personally i tried the ajays 3&4 and the klipsch s3 but it lacks the sound clarity..klipsch s3 bass is quite good compared to ajays..

Wanna pair it with my Crossroad iDock + 3.5mm cable from our forumer ssyycc (a nice cable indeed) + FiiO E6. Currently pairing those item with my pioneer hdj500..Wanna buy the iem to use it at my office smile.gif

Budget around RM300 + Bass IEM, might wanna test out new Final Audio Design Adagio Series (Adagio II, III)

[+] Review : Head-Fi.org

But if you want to stick with your choice, then Klipsch S3 is best option.

c) Grado SR60i
d) Grado SR80i

[1] Difference between open cans and closed cans : Head-Fi.org

[2] Depends on your preferences: Music - open cans (wide soundstage) | Movie + Gaming - closed cans (isolation + bass)

[3] Alessandro collaborate with Grado Labs for Grado Music Series headphones like Beats by Dr. Dre with Monster or Quincy with AKG : Alessandro

[4]
a) Audio-Technica ATH-PRO5MK2 : Bass + Portable + Closed headphone
b) Audio-Technica ATH-AD300 : Entry audiophile + Comfortable + Open headphone
c) d) Grado SR60i + SR80i : Try ask other member, not tested it yet

**Since you use it at home and office better get closed cans (ATH-PRO5MK2, ATH-M35, Sony MDR-PQ1, Aerial7 Tank) so that you wont disturb others at your office smile.gif
