- My Rig: Mobile Phone
- Type of usage: Listen to music
- File format: mp3 i Guess
- Music genre: Almost anything
- Budget: Lets see first
- Headphone/ earphone type: IEM
- Other requirements (if any): I had tested HD668B Superlux, and i felt good. Would like to find a IEM similar to it (in terms of clarity, etc), maybe with slightly less bass would be perfect.
*
Well.....the Hippo Shroom EB is well known for its clarity, but it is priced at RM190. I had one for a while.

You can also try the Brainwavz M1, priced similarly as the HD668B. I haven't tried the HD668B so I don't have a clue as to how it sounds. The M1 however I did have and owned for quite a while. It has a very spacious soundstage for an IEM, has reasonable treble clarity but not sibilant, has bass that's not what I would call plenty nor weak.

That's all I can recommend from IEM within that price range. You can also look at other budget options from Fischer Audio, Hippo and MEElec. Audition them as well if you can.

guys. just wanna ask simple question

between alessandro ms2i and beyerdynamic dt990 premium 250 ohm,

which one better??

I'm looking for massive soundstage here.

I tried the ms2i and even though people say that soundstage isn't its specialty, i am quite satisfied with it.

Wish i tried the dt990s, but if can, wanna know what u guys think la.

dun worry about amp and all, i got those covered biggrin.gif

if you're looking for massive soundstage, the DT990 would have about 1.5x - 2x the soundstage size of ms2i.

Wireless if possible. Not main point. I tried finding 7.1 headphones(sony wireless 7.1) but idk if its worth it. its around rm278. been using sony IEM(rm99 at sony centre) till i lost it recently. Read around about the koss's portapro but no idea about it too. And uhmm no mic please biggrin.gif
thanks in advance!

I don't know of any IEM having cables that short, but there is the Sony XBA-S65. It's a balanced armature IEM, built to be water resistant, is washable and it has cables that also act like straps/earloops so you can tighten them onto your ears for extra security. Priced just over RM200.

thank you thank you notworthy.gif

anything I'm missing out if I chose the 990s over the ms2i?

I heard 990s mids are recessed, meaning I won't feel that front seat and feel sitting at the back of a concert right?

are the mids on the ms2i better, or 990s are an overall winner here?

unless you are into aggressive sounds and forward mids, i think ms2i for metal songs and rock is nice, in general genre, 990

ms2i sort of place you onstage but the DT990 have you on row 5-6, not all the way to the back of a concert. mids quality and texture-wise i'd say they are both about the same, just the stage placement is slightly different.

Hi guys, need your help again, wanna ask that which set of IEM suits me more?

Currently i was thinking to get iBeats(because i can get some authentic one with really low price)

by comparing iBeats vs my JVC FX1X which one suits me more?

JVC seems gave me too much bass, while iBeats gives something a bit more balanced... Please help me. Thanks! =)
