warranty what? all samoled were acted this way.

Screen problem, just send to service centre ask for replacement. Is it so difficult to claim warranty?
Even, IPS also suffer yellow bleed too? Sometimes you might get defect phones, just ask for 1 on 1 replacement.

Then what is the point having 1 year warranty, you think 1 year warranty as nothing to you? shakehead.gif

Well, if it is manufacturer defect. That's where the warranty comes handy

Yes, that's google idea. take me about 2 days+ to upload all my 7,xxx music. hopefully there is "Google Video" in future  rclxms.gif

Google's "Video" is YoutTube at this moment. Which is why I set up Plex for my own personal video server.

I'm wondering, how did he get his set of Nexus? did he import his set, or is he staying overseas?
that is what warranty are for. smile.gif
yea, cloud storage is a good way to overcome the storage limit smile.gif

maybe I'll update first page to include this.

The disadvantage would be the constant need to connect to access your data. Music, work files, even photos are fine, but current network speed aren't optimized for video streaming. Even with supposedly faster data services like YES4G. Then there's the problem of accessing your cloud data while abroad. Unless WiFi services are close by, wide area network would cost you a pretty penny.

Well, nothing is perfect.

I think the first few generation fared better because of more stringent QC. With the heated competition amongst Android phone manufacturers, someone will start taking shortcut and the other will follow.

I think they found a better way to set the QC level nowadays. Release it to the market and let consumer decide for themselves whether a replacement is needed. They must have realized that they are saving much more this way compared to their own stringent QC checks.

What do you mean by splotches? Can circle the affected area?

Besides, that phone is not GNex.

Just finished uploading 5,883 songs into Google Music already, this will be a good alternative than to keep songs inside the Galaxy Nexus, since it's fixed 16GB storage and no option to increase it anymore.

Google Music for songs, Plex for Android for movies.
*
Some of my albums are not sync'ed to my phone, see if that happens to your phone as well? It could be my phone's problem, not sure though.

Are they DRM-ed? If so, they they won't appear on Google Music. Some on my iTunes Plus purchased songs that are DRM-free are also having problems appearing on the phone as well, I needed strip the metadata off, retag it and then it will appear. Reports also indicates difficulty of uploading WMA files.

He's not staying overseas. The phone, I guess is a test unit, though he didn't tell me in details. As to what's his job, I dont think it's at my convenience to tell that. Rest assured, he gets to play with new phones from time to time even before being released in the market. biggrin.gif

If he would have tell me earlier, I would have seen him earlier to play with his toys. blush.gif

I don't see the thread mentioning ALL sets? There's only ONE set of GNex in the thread.

Unless you mean all SAMOLED set, then its a SAMOLED defect. Just get it replaced, done. No point in harping on the issue really.

Not sure if they are DRM-tagged. My own collections of CD ripped using WMP11 into MP3 format. Will they be tagged?

Your own CD = no DRM. You need to retag them using some sort of metadata app. I use Jaikoz.

No prob. The free/trial version only tags 20 songs at one use, so after you hit 20, close the app and restart it back. The paid version is unlimited.

I only use this to fix tagging that doesn't work on iTunes. iTunes has built-in tagger that does it automatically and unlimited.

I use Windows Media Player, it usually works well, but sometimes it screws up the tags......

You're actually using Razr now and your phone got black splotches.? Or you just read in xda about it and afraid that Nexus have the defect thingy.? I've use both SGS, SGSII and Note where all are Samsung product. And i dont have any black splotches on its Amoled screen on all of the above phones. And i dont think Nexus gonna have it either :-P

I dont thing he even have the Razr phone on the first place. He just been reading about the defect in xda forum. The odd thing is, i never have a screen problem with all my Samsung product phones. Hope it will stay that way on Nexus :-)
