Galaxy Nexus SAV Ghost fix by Modaco
http://www.androidcentral.com/galaxy-nexus...-unofficial-fix QUOTE Paul O'Brien from MoDaCo already has an unofficial (or at least semi-official) fix ready to download today. The MoDaCo volume bug fix takes the form of a new boot image file (apparently sourced from a test version of the official fix) which you can flash across, assuming you've unlocked your bootloader. If you don't know what any of that means, you're probably better off waiting for the official update to arrive over-the-air -- it shouldn't be too much longer now. |

Official Galaxy Nexus dock.
But I don't see any hard button on the dock. Or the Galaxy Nexus screen stays active when docking. |

Dear GNex users.. experience such problem after the update?
QUOTE Their messaging app also starts up on its own and produces a series of keystrokes without the user even touching the keyboard. He says that the phone only begins acting this way whenever he plugs it in via USB. |

QUOTE(stringfellow @ Dec 7 2011, 09:55 PM) I suspect it's the case of his charging adapter not grounded. The charging pin/adapter that comes with the Nexus is the exact copy of the one that comes with the Nexus, with 3 pin plug. The top pin that is supposed to be the grounding pin, is a dummy pin in the case of this charger, it has no electrical circuitry to act as an earth-grounding point. On electrical sockets that are old or uses a low quality extension cord without grounding circuitry, electrical current leakage that is supposed to travel back through the top grounding pin ( a dummy pin in this case of the Samsung charger), now travels through the shortest point of contact, the metal contacts of the microUSB connector and to the screen. Ever had a jolt of electricity go through you when you accidentally touched a metal surface (like your PC casing or MacBook chassis? It's the same thing). Which is why I always reserve a specific electrical socket point that I know will not have current leakage or is properly grounded. Hmmm, got the point there... This happens to my Nook color tablet when I try charging as well. Might be the insulation issue |

I has been suggested to get this case from Incipio (FEATHER ULTRALIGHT HARD SHELL CASE)
http://www.myincipio.com/Samsung-Galaxy-Ne...-Shell-Case.asp However, still need to check out other brands of casing for GNex before ordering one from Incipio |

QUOTE(cruxidex @ Dec 29 2011, 02:40 PM) for an extra capacity of 250mAh which is on my experience will give you an extra 43 minutes of net surfing using mobile data.. will you consider? I have confirmation that the NFC works with the extended 2000mAh battery.and there is a risk of NFC not working (if the batt not really original).. if im not mistaken the NFC chip is at the battery is it? a better option is to have an extra travel charger or a power bank.. its more worth it.. if u batt dies you can charge on the go FYI, the NFC module is in the phone itself. The battery act as the antenna. |

QUOTE(DJFoo000 @ Dec 29 2011, 05:34 PM) Oh yeah forgot about the teardown. Organize a GNex user Teh Tarik session where we can "beam" each other Man tears have been shed with the news about the phone coming next months at RM2099. Anyway, I look forward to play around beaming stuff with people who have phones with NFC. Minds will be blown. |
