new news is January, or you could simply go for AP set now. smile.gif

im using Android Revolution HD ROM 1.3.3 since this morning... havent hung up or random reboots.. all is smooth as silk except when market is installing any app.. give it a sec or two then it smooths back

i tried multi task around 5app and 3angry birds then i notice a small lag like when market is installing somthing

browser is lag to change orientation from potrait to landscape n vice versa only when the browser is loading a page

else has been perfect

now downloading Android Revolution HD 2.1.0 which based on the FW ICL53F (4.0.2 for GSM) along with a new radio XXKK6.. most probably will flash it tonight or tomorrow
*
the "lag" when switching orientation is an intentional delay to avoid accidental rotation, which can be annoying when it happens too frequent.

for existing GNex users and future GNex users,

You can install LightFlow to control your LED notification, customize LED color accordingly, also the frequency of the LED flashing. Very useful IMO smile.gif

QUOTE(Lucifer @ Dec 16 2011, 04:41 PM)
Hello Guys~
Flashed to Android Revolution HD 2.1.0, just restore most of my apps now.
Seems stable, forced to start using juice defender ultimate again, due to battery drain.
I was thinking that with ICS 4.0, data control should be done better, not needing customer to further purchase some USD 7.00++ app to get the battery saving features.

On a side note, the car dock I ordered from HTCpedia, seems to be verizon version, means no pogo pin, no audio out, and a cut-out on the phone's micro-usb for charging.
*
rest assured, data control will be tweaked to the optimum in the future as it is with Gingerbread ROMs by the devs, they just need time. smile.gif

be warned regarding Juice Defender, I've read cases where using it causes the mobile data connection to keep randomly switching...which might actually drain up more battery than it saved.

awesome!

included in FAQ section... really a must have app for GNex users IMO. nod.gif

How to 1 click quite all running programs/apps?
*
you'll need task killer for that, which is actually not recommended to do so. You might mess up the memory management of Android... and end up draining more battery juice.

its better to just let Android manage the memory itself.

Thanks for the info, will try Tweet Deck.

How to disable the Slide to unlock vibration? I find it anoying. lol
*
I'm not very sure about this, but I've read somewhere saying that, its because the tweeter app is not updated to have hardware acceleration yet, if you go to developer option in the phone, tick force hardware acceleration, you'll notice that tweeter app is much smoother.

How much do you think the 32GB will be?
*
not even sure if its going to be available in Msia, but I my guess would be 200 ~ 300 difference?

QUOTE(Harddisk @ Dec 18 2011, 12:35 AM)
No, the ip4S is really fast & responsive... on the home screen.  biggrin.gif

Somehow it felt faster than my iPad2, maybe because the icons travel distance is shorter on the phone's smaller screen.  thumbup.gif
*
iOS home screen has nothing going on... of course its going to be smooth tongue.gif

not that its a bad thing though, but just saying.

No 32GB will be disappointing.

:\ 32GB for my iPod Touch wasn't even enough (wish I got 64 LOL)
*
lol, this topic has been discussed to death... laugh.gif

its true this has been an issue to a lot of people,
the most recommended way so far is just resort to cloud storage,
for me personally though, it wouldn't be an issue... since the 8GB card I have for my Desire has never been filled up tongue.gif

Current GNex user, what casing are you guys using? Thought wanna order good quality build casing from the states before GNex release in Malaysia someday in January (hopefully)
*
Will be using case mate barely there black smile.gif

having one for my Desire, and I really liked the fact that it adds really little bulk to the phone. Some might say it offers minimal protection, but its good enough for me.

Its really well made, every corners and button holes have accurate measurements, and have wearing it on my Desire for like 1 year+, it has very minimal wear tear sign despite me dropping my phone few times, albeit not serious ones.

wet screen protector have issue with GNex
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread...=1398094&page=2

TS, please put it on the first post.
Thanks
*
its mostly probably the owner's fault here... from the thread he mentioned he turned on the phone immediately after application. common sense would tell you not to. hmm.gif

stringfellow is using a wet screen protector too, SGP Flex to be exact, don't seem to be a problem?

what I'm saying here is... its not an issue for the GNex, but the user application. So is this front page worthy?

Of course not, I'm just sharing my experience, won't be able to speak for others smile.gif

It's there, along with Twitter, Whatsapp etc, just have to scroll down.

Yeah, I'm pretty impressed with the battery life, considering everything that it has to do. I purposely brought it up to full charge last night around 10pm, used it until about 2am, and throughout the whole day until I got back from work. This was the reading after I had dinner smile.gif
*
really impressive battery life you got there. Regardless if you browse the web often or not, 20+ hours of battery life is impressive. nod.gif

what is arhd 2.1.1?
*
Android Revolution HD 2.1.1, its a custom ROM by mike1986, available for download at XDA Dev and RootzWiki

from the feedbacks it seems the latest version of ARHD is really really good. hmm.gif

Is custom rom safe? i do banking a lot.

and i have bad experience with custom ROM that has endless bugs in them. But that was few years ago when i was still using HTC TouchHD...xD
*
depends on what ROM are you looking at, some are developed specifically for developers to test, for stable builds that are for general users to use are usually quite stable for daily use. Based on the comments the latest ARHD build is definitely good.

This is interesting. Came across some Galaxy Nexus ads on youtube uploaded as fresh as 2 hours ago by ThaiSamsungMobile. The videos were clearly ads for the Japanese market (even the phone's operating language is Japanese), but the descriptions were in Thai. Any speculations?
*
Maybe Thai is launching it soon? Because the video is definitely not new... I've posted it in on my G+ wall since November hmm.gif
