QUOTE(Peekab0o @ Jan 16 2012, 12:16 AM) Think this way friend ... 2nd hand engine wont be any better . Reason 1... We duno how old that engine is Reason 2.. We duno how the previous owner jaga the engine it might be very bad or so .. and THATS why i complete overhaul my car instead of getting it replaced which is considerably cheaper. then again im on 1.5 and not 1.3 iswara so overhaul in the long run seems a little more worthy for a more powerful/rarer engineAbout half year ago i just done full overhaul to my engine of course u have to find a good mech trusted one .. Cost roughly prepare 1.5 k all in ... After done full overhaul i got 550 km with full tank of petrol stock carb... And ur carb kasi servis also together with full overhaul perfect ... =edit= of = for* oh and another reason: since the car is inherited from my mom, i know how she drives, and shes a slow driver, so yea, expectedly upon overhaul, the parts arent really that worn, mainly sludges, and worn seals/gasket, valves etc. shafts/pistons/engine overall condition is actually tip top This post has been edited by Quazacolt: Jan 20 2012, 11:26 AM |

Hi all,
For my ride, I noticed that sometimes the temp needle touches the mid line, and at times it falls below it somewhere between middle of the mid line and one below it. When it falls is when it's rainy or constantly moving with airflow. When I'm stationary it seems to be up there in the middle. So looking around the radiator, I noticed that there is a gap between the radiator and fan shroud. Can anyone help check in their Iswara whether there is a gap there? What can I use to seal up the gap so that when the fan turns, all the air is actually sucked THROUGH the radiator rather than some from this gap? Thanks!! ![]() |

QUOTE(poolcarpet @ Jan 20 2012, 06:50 PM) Hi all, No need to worry about ur temp its fine... that kind of temp is quite nice... unlike me running quite lean now for fuel saving temp is slightlyyyyy alittlee bittttt above mid line... ( due to running LEAN ) during hot afternoons... night it drops back to mid... about that gap cannot brain wad to use to cover it ...For my ride, I noticed that sometimes the temp needle touches the mid line, and at times it falls below it somewhere between middle of the mid line and one below it. Hey guys, I have a question on here. I have a 2002 years model Iswara with manual transmission. When my car is on low rpm, the car's dashboard and steering vibrating vigorously and it stop to vibrate when I rev the engine a little bit. Before this, I had sat inside my relative's saga which is older than mine and his car is very stable, dashboard and steering would not vibrate during low rpm and runs smoothly. Is it anyway to make my car same as him ?

However for few car models (none from Proton) the distributor did the job by cutting off ignition once reached certain RPM. How it really works, i need to google Rev limiters for modern cars are being set by the ECU. Fook rev limiters, once your internals can go high RPM why dont utilize it fully? anyone got recommendations for spark plug cables for my iswara 1999 model AT. (forgot the engine model
it has 4 cables/plugs need to change mine cuz of some power leakage, causing alternator whines on my speakers and a bit of mis firings during high rev which is kinda wasting FC :/ |
