both manu and manc is out of the champs league !!!!!! what a happy day, looks like fergie has to wait another year to try to add to his champs league medal collection !  rclxms.gif

cant wait to see what reasons those 'fans' give, to be honest, some of them are still in reality mode realising their team wasnt good enough against basel. anyways shaqiri is one to watch for the future.

back to us, lots of rumours surrounding 2 attacking players in gaston ramirez and eduardo vargas, but as of now, im pretty satisfied with the squad, kinda feel kenny should probably look into our goalscoring problems. for me, our defence is pretty solid, and going forward, we're creating chances, just not finishing them. i'd take a 5 shots, 2-1 win against a 10 shots, 1-1 draw or 1-2 loss anyday anytime.

spearing for all his energy and also the sentimental value of being the local lad, isnt good enuf imo, n he's not that young, he's 23 and he needs to improve if he plans to stay in the first team imo.

Sure karma is a b*tch, but I'll only be happy if we're qualifying for next season's Champions League.

On UCL last night: Look on the bright side; Whisky nose will not have to see the banner he received last year reminding him which teams are ahead of him being the better team in Europe.

He should also be especially grateful for not having the need to see his team suffer another thrashing in the hands of Barca.

Oh what a beautiful day. Radio chatter was also nice this morning. Karma is a dish served best if they deserve it biggrin.gif

aiseh man doh.gif don't need to celebrate their misery la. they get what they deserve or not i don't really care.

i was actually hoping to see all english teams in the champions league. now we see a drop in dominance. and yes, no one can match our 5 trophies yet at least i was willing to see someone try to match it. barcelona and real madrid looks really strong this year and would juggernaut their way to the final.

but i must admit, on my facebook the glorified supporters seems missing today, not a pip or a pop. anyway screw them, their misery or lack thereof is not our problem so be classier and don't post any shit on their thread please. they may be a-holes just don't be an a-hole like them thanks rolleyes.gif

back to our thread;

Jonjo Shelvey. this man is like our new man to redeem some form of midfield formation. sure he loves to run up and sure he will try to score from distance but he does put me in mind of a younger version of captain marvel. before anyone of you flame me for shits and giggles, look at his performance at Blackpool. that garners some levels of respect. it may be a lesser league but a competitive one none the less. i truly feel that the invoking of the clause is warranted and was a really smart move to put it on the contract. now we just have to use him.

Agger the Dagger. this man was mentioned to play on a DM role? i mean seriously...erm... i would rather he command our back four. why o why would anyone bother to put him up at DM when we paid so much for so many midfielders. rclxub.gif

anyway this saturday against airasia team, i hope it will be a cracker. although what i hope for is to see 2 bad boys get head to head with one another. Barton vs Bellamy... FIGHT CLUB! thumbup.gif

I'm shocked by what happened this morning. It was a pretty straightforward group for the mancs or so I thought. Then again Basel are a resilient side. They knocked us out some years back as well.

Speaking of transfer rumors, that bloke Shaqiri was immense for Basel last night and he's only 20. Sweet left foot and he worked his arse off.

Added on December 7, 2011, 1:29 pmMost of all we need a god damn poacher, someone who would turn anything into a goal; someone who would even score with his butt/ hair. When the ball touch him, it'll turn into goal. We need a goal machine..

So the FA has charged Suarez for making an obscene gesture, fair enough. I would probably have reacted in the same manner given the amount of stick he was getting but it was still wrong.

However this pisses me off.

An FA statement read: "Liverpool Football Club have been charged by The FA with failing to ensure its players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion, following the dismissal of Jay Spearing.
The referee makes a mistake and we get punished for it? It was a good old fashion challenge, everyone who saw it said so and it's frustrating that the only person who thought otherwise was the ref. One could argue that it was a game changing decision so our lads showed their frustration, big fooking deal. The FA needs to concede that they themselves are contributing to such controversies by not introducing replays and stuff. Fook them!

we had tons of stick from the FA over the years.

like i said the fine was more towards trying to show the rest of the league that referees are indeed an endangered species, so any move or protest deemed hazardous to their well-being would be considered a major offence. of cos if you had them in your pocket, that would be another thing all together.

as for Suarez, well they charged him for it, well and good. is it a fine or a ban? blink.gif

Hey guys, I just came back from NZ, and now catching up with 3 games in one go... Hmm, not exactly good results despite consistency in tempo in our games?

I think Reina made a blunder, but then he's made MORE in previous seasonS (emphasis on the 'S'), and I think it was an unfortunate mistake.

Now Lucas is gone, all the critics can see for themselves how much we need Lucas up on the field. He's still our primera volunte, the 'driver-marshall from the back of the pack'.

I guess with the 2nd tier (no disrespect) picks in rotation and the midfield, I suppose King Kenny may want to adopt other tactics (its not like he hasn't been using 'unorthodox' tactics, remember the 5 defender system and we still won? (and in another time we lost too)

Tomkins made a fairly convincing argument about Caroll, but I suppose that one of the other factors that we should come into play is the psyche of the player himself. I think Caroll's enjoying his time, but he's not positioning himself to the pace.

Now before somebody shoots me, look at how Carroll positions himself. he is always 'ahead of time', but by the time the ball gets crossed in the defenders realized that he's the target man and shoves him 'off the position'. So I think its a matter of psyche.

There's really nothing to happy about. We're still struggling to get in. I'm not sure if we'll get in this year. Karma's a b!tch. So, I'll just watch from the sideline and enjoy the matches.

Man Utd knocked out from CL just make me smile. Nothing to be carried away with their lost. More important is our journey that show a little bit difficult to secure top 4. i prefer AC as a subs for the time being.

i'm campaigning bout Xherdan Syaqiri since early season..much much cheaper than Eden Hazard but good enough potential to be a world class player..a player that liv normally buys nod.gif nod.gif

i don't understand why we're that happy with MANU losing?

i'll rather be more concerned at our so called 'glass-ceiling' performance!

bwah, its true we get lots of stick from the MANU lalangs. or the so called die-hard-fans. (i was a convert, LOL so I won't say much!)

but speaking about MU losing, and all. I think they are the ones to drop the game?

and here's a scenario that we all need to put on high alert. They will want to focus on EPL, and we would want to make sure that we qualify for the top 3. (even getting the 4th place doesn't necessarily guarantee you a spot in UCL, or was it 5th doesn't guarantee you a spot in UEC?)

I guess City losing is pretty funny. Spent like there was no tomorrow and still fail to get in the last 16. Chelsea, the struggling club at the moment made it instead. biggrin.gif
