no difference in term of Fps etc?

because last time i heard from someone that using ori nikon grip on d7000 increase the fps.  blink.gif
*
doesnt increase fps at all.
but iirc phottix the cmd dials on the grip works reverse to what it should.
so yea, u may get irritated.

oh yea, also the original grip has magnesium alloy shell just like the body, thats why its more expensive.
also the 3rd party ones the cmd dial usually thinner abit, may be an issue to u if u want it to feel like the body.

MV bangsar LRT still must take bus / taxi.
only connecting to MV is KTM.

parking at gardens is hell / mid valley is one step worse than hell.
klcc much easier to find parking.

wan save time take taxi after get down of bangsar LRT....rm5 something right?
i long time didnt take taxi.
*
i dunno how much, i also think RM5.
but got rapidkl bus go there also.
before used to have free feeder bus, but dunno if still got.

easiest is just take lrt to kl sentral, and from there take ktm to mid valley.
then go back from kl sentral can just take lrt to klcc.

new lens, you gotta mount it on a camera, make sure  AF, VR, all the switches work, no funy sound, Af speed up to specs. Unless the lens is in a sealed vaccum packed packaging, then no need to check.....nvr came across any camera stuff in vaccum packaging before..... tongue.gif

i believe HK has int'l warranty, maybe you can just call nikon malaysia and act like you from HK or studied there, just talk like Andy Lau slang  tongue.gif , and ask if your HK set has warranty here

other than that, post pix of your new lens here  rclxms.gif
*
the HK set has warranty here.
iirc the terms are provided the warranty card is filled with a HK address and you also got a receipt from a HK authorised dealer store.
its their way of not allowing warranty for grey sets, or even grey sets bought in HK.

waa.. is it?i got use my fren d7000 and d300 b4. somehow, i fell in love with d300.. thats why im considering the d300s.. biggrin.gif i 'll be more on sport photography because currently im working in event management for youth and sport section..
*
what lens will u be using?
u need to use the f/2.8 pro lenses to bring out the best in tracking for the D7000 to have it track just as well as D300s for sports...
and since its youth sports...i dont see any problems at all.

If like that, a pro 70-200mm f/2.8 with a D90 should also be no problems.
*
yea, i've seen ppl using that when shooting football.
it all comes down to experience in where u position urself etc etc.

even from the 50s onwards there are great sports shots, but AF wasnt even invented yet.
they all had to rely on their quick MF hands, and good positioning.

nowadays fast AF sure helps, but unless ur shooting for sports illustrated and the likes, nailing that split timing perfect shot isnt really that critical.
and most would do fine with a decent combo like the above.

There are still some pros moved from Nikon to Canon. Reason unknown, could be due to sponsorship or they finds Canon suits them more smile.gif
Rumoured spec wise still lose to 1Dx. Autofocus system kalah abis.
*
i know a couple who moved from canon to nikon, cos they get better service for lenses / replacements / loans etc much faster.

what kind of loans are you talking about?? Do you need to have a studio/business to acquire one?

I was wondering why is the price difference between 35mm 1.4g and 1.8g so much difference

compared to

50mm 1.4g and 1.8g
*
these are media guys.
say if a lens dies, they get a replacement lens to use asap, rather than waiting and waiting with no lens to use.

35mm 1.4g is nano coated tongue.gif
1.8g is dx lens.

maybe if 50mm 1.4g was nano coated also it'll be very expensive.

Yeap, same goes to D3s which is built for sports. The new 1DX spec is really efficient, but still gotta see how the unit actually performs. Frankly, the 1Dmk4 focusing isn't as consistent as the D3/D3s (and probably D700) for me.
If you're a NPS member, you get loan units as well actually. 50mm primes are usually cheaper because of the simpler design.
FX vs DX, different size of lens. Plus, different type of SWM AF drive, if you were to turn the focus ring, its different feeling.
*
yea, well most media guys would be members of NPS anyway tongue.gif

D7000's replacement next year? That's a bit fast... unless they call it D400 :/
