QUOTE(celciuz @ Nov 26 2011, 11:34 AM) I compared the 24mm versus the 35mm on MTF, the 35mm sharper! (not to mention cheaper ) 35mm is closer to 85mm than the 24mm is... sharper one thing. but the subject isolation that 24mm gives... This post has been edited by Everdying: Nov 26 2011, 03:39 PM

QUOTE(celciuz @ Nov 26 2011, 03:55 PM) What makes you think 35 f/1.4 don't give subject isolation? o_O almost the same. but i guess for the same fov, 24mm of cos u go closer to subject to get same fov...so bokeh alittle different...somehow it gives even more of a 3d popping effect.

QUOTE(C_Sagi @ Nov 28 2011, 07:28 PM) I felt she lying a bit too but she paid usd1300 wor... thats like rm4100 here. Thats consider peanuts for a wedding shoot? If she does have a dslr knowledge like us i dont believe anyone would know which dslr is a pro grade and which doesnt. u want convert for what? technically if want convert usd1300 is like rm800 here only one coke there usd1, here rm1.80. ford mustang there usd20k, here rm400k.

QUOTE(celciuz @ Nov 28 2011, 07:30 PM) 2 flash, 1 FlexTT5 will act as the transmitter. You'll see soon enough... I think its easier on videography in terms of the lens, but for photography kit lens is really challenging unless you know how to handle the lights well, and not all can do that. I survived with f/4 lens on my UWA, stepping to f/5.6 frequently for the DOF, but of course that's on D700 where I can afford to bump ISO up. And for the tripod topic, would that even help? I'm usually worried of my subjects moving instead of handshake. not thinking of spending for those starter 180w lighting sets tht start at rm900? Added on November 28, 2011, 7:43 pmQUOTE(C_Sagi @ Nov 28 2011, 07:40 PM) Ok, no convert then...so its normal to pay RM1300 for someone to use a 400D with kit lens for a wedding shoot ? i've seen ppl pay more for ppl using d90 with kit lens This post has been edited by Everdying: Nov 28 2011, 07:43 PM

QUOTE(C_Sagi @ Nov 28 2011, 07:49 PM) Regularly ? Sad ppl then, no offense. Cause ppl here pay rm1800+ for d700 user. that one is still peanuts. a pretty well known pro here shoots with a canon 7d and his package starts at rm3.5k for a half day session. afterall ppl dont pay for what camera the person is using, but for the person behind it based on their portfolio etc.

QUOTE(celciuz @ Nov 28 2011, 07:58 PM) They aren't as versatile as the system I bought... you need plugs to power them up isn't it? or they come with battery? well, but if for home studio...u can get more dof at higher shutter speeds...tho the 180w ones still not much dof but still more than speedlights...unless u wanna boost up iso or go lower shutter etc.

QUOTE(C_Sagi @ Nov 28 2011, 08:28 PM) Yup i agree. The photog showed her the portfolio but the end result was not what she expected. But 1 thing i dont understand is that u said dont compare with the convert rate. So if a person there use a 7d to shoot and get paid usd3500 (which should be the correct price as u said) then 1 wedding event and they can buy a 5d mark ii. Not bad business like that.... like i said, why even compare? diff countries...else must as well go compare with say cambodia where ppl probably pay u rm50 for a wedding job... here min wage, no such thing, ppl can pay u rm1/hr also u cannot take action. over in US min wage is usd7.25/hr, it is illegal to pay under that no matter what job u are doing. there are ppl here who charge up to rm10k also for a job, like that they can buy a d700 every time also.

QUOTE(vearn27 @ Nov 30 2011, 03:37 PM) What is good with SB-700? More modernized UI? I would buy it if it won't overheats easily like SB-900. Other than that... I don't see much improvement. the over-heating part SB700 controls better since it is newer tech than SB900, and also the hard gel filters also. if only the SB910 carried over the SB700 button layout of the 2 sliders on left and right side, makes it more user-friendly. but i guess nikon probably gonna put those in SB1000
