hi can recommend me what type of balls that is value for money?
i now play with nittaku 3 stars (not premium), not really tahan la this ball..
before this, using dhs 3 stars, i find it value for money, but now i hear alot of fakes.. even my friend bought some, it looks similar to mine, but when play, feels very light and not round..

You can find mao sheng to take DHS 3/2/1 stars , he is the main authorize DHS distributor in Malaysia. But the price is expansive than fake ball in the market now.He just got to authorize few months ago only.

Hello SSR,

Most of us (if not 95%-98% of us) are located in KL or the Klang valley. We are more attuned to tournament organised by the various organisers whether public or private here.
Maybe some members from the Southern region can help or you can help to disseminate information on tournament organised in JB for all LYN members.

I'm a noob here. Planning to buy a ping pong bat, budget less than 200. I stay nearby jusco maluri and I dun like those sunflex bats, rubber so thin. I heard there's one shop nearby viva. Where exactly is it? Need all of your advice. TQVM. smile.gif

Requirements:
1) focus more on chopping and smashing
2) shakehand hold

It's Uncle Ling's shop, 'Gold Medal Sports'. It's just outside/behind VIVA Home, in the building called Uncang Emas A, level 3. It opens every day 11am-7pm, I think. Budget 200 can get decent bat+rubber for noob. Amateurs may need 300++ for decent combination. You want chopping or smashing? You can't have both without compromising one of the aspects. Choppers prefer slower bats, so smashing with that needs more force and tends to be less powerful.

cheaper product from china like 729, dawei, or DHS should be sufficient if dont have much budget but if got budget can buy TSP. or Butterfly rubbers and Bat.

If you can afford it, go for Andro Hexer+ rubber. I'm using it now. It's very nice for fast play and smashing, even with mild-moderate downspin. It's about 140. Or Palio Macro ERA. About 130 with similar characteristics. Lower-budget range may not give the same satisfaction and ease of use, but maybe those between 50-100 can do the trick too. I primarily use short pimple, so I don't know much about smooth ones... laugh.gif

As for bat, most carbon bats around 150-250 should be good enough, I guess. All my bats cost around 100-150. Anything more, I'll really have to reconsider. I have confidence in my skills, even with lesser bats. cool2.gif
