TT1 been around since forever but they refresh every year design wise. More like fashion watch than a manufacturer. Iirc it's a non ETA movement as well for the DD. Maybe you can look into Ball for similar feel and price bracket.

hi guys, been a long time since i've last visited smile.gif anyway just wanna enquire all the sifus here where can i actually get my watch polished? im wearing a 2010 omega seamaster and im not much of a 'careful' person lol. my bracelet is all scratched up and a dent on my crown -.- i've asked a shop in penang and they are charging me RM60. i think its too cheap to be true and im scared that they might change my internal parts? anyone mind to share their experience in polishing? and do OMEGA outlets provide this service? (doubt it will be cheap though)

Have been reading this thread and looking at the links on the first page trying to find my first mechanical watch. My idea of the ideal watch was for it to have brown leather straps, white face, roman numerals and blue hands.
The problem I had was that my wrists were quite thin and could only pull off watches which were between 38mm - 40mm. After days and nights of searching the links of the homages and on ebay for pictures of my ideal watch, I decided to lower my requirements and narrowed it down to the Raymond Weil Maestro series.

I initially considered buying through ebay from one of the grey sellers, however given it was my first time buying a mechanical watch, I decided it wasn't worth the risk of dissapointment should the actual watch be not what I imagined it to be based on the pictures displayed. Today I went to Sincere Watch at the Gardens and sought to view the actual watch. The price was twice that of what it was selling for on ebay, and I wandered around mid valley aimlessly while debating on whether the price difference was worth it. In the end I felt the difference was made up by the service and comfort that I was buying directly from an authorised distributor. So as a picture paints a thousand words, here is my first and hopefully not last mechanical watch:

Hi, congrats on your acquisition. Mind telling the price and how helpful is the sales advisor at the Garden's Sincere Watch? smile.gif

I got a 20% + additional 5% discount on the displayed price which was roughly RM3.3k.The sales advisor at Garden's Sincere Watch was quite polite and helpful, she took out several watches which I requested to have a closer look at and was quite patient while I took my time trying them out and making my decision. After trying out most of the Raymond Weil collection which tickled my fancy, she even suggested that I should consider Maurice Lacroix at which I sheepishly told her that my budget was between RM3k - RM5k. She just smiled politely and said that the Raymond Weil would be within my budget without being snobbish or condescending at all. blush.gif

I did go to another watch outlet in Midvalley which carried the Raymond Weil collection, however that was the typical watch shop which carries all type of watches from the budget brands to the more expensive brands. However, the atmosphere and service paled in comparison to Sincere Watch.

Do bear in mind that this is the first time I ever stepped foot into a boutique which deals mostly with high end watches and I went there with the specific intention of looking at the Raymond Weil. I would not be able to give a fair comparison with other boutiques of Sincere's level. icon_rolleyes.gif
